I was there! It was when the AD allowed us on the chartered team planes for bowl games. We did it for the Holiday and Sun Bowels too. It’s a cool story, bro.

Game shouldn't have been close. That retarded pitch 30 yards down the field was horrifically stupid. But still alot of fun. Was the 4th consecutive Rose Bowel I attended that was a victory. Thanks to Coach Pete for destroying that record.
Definitely a not as close as the score suggested game. I think it was either Gilby or the OL coach who said they were so confident in running the ball in the 4th they knew they were running into blitzes but it didn't matter. This was the first season I got into where I was old enough to understand the game much at all and was spoiled with an OL and run game I may never see again at UW.
