Indians in big tech companies place a ton of importance on the hierarchy and the rigid “levels” system. They think it means they are important and that other people should respect it.
But to everyone else they are just a dev and no one cares.
That’s why they constantly start talking about how much they make because no one gives them the respect they feel they deserve for being an L7, etc.
