I watched a snail crawl along the edge of a straight razor. That's my dream, that's my nightmare. Crawling, slithering, along the edge of a straight razor... and surviving.
It's been PROVEN REPEATEDLY and WITHOUT DOUBT that deBore had nearly zero interest in coaching UW in 2024 from the 2023 mid-season forward. Not a hypothetical. He knew he was likely going to 'Bama when we all heard that Saban was likely (90%+) to retire after the 2023 season.
His being unaware of Saban's status (likelihood to retire) months before the NC game was just not possible particularly once they shared the same agent.
I understand that there are some dementia riddled simpletons repeatedly claiming otherwise but he was simply NEVER going to stay at UW long-term.
Furthermore, his documented disdain for the work involved in recruiting (or ineffectiveness doing same), coupled with UW's need for a regime that actually recruits successfully, made a significantly longer stay at UW virtually impossible.
You are correct (and it isn't just a theory). deBore's mail it in approach for the NC game is only rivaled by June Jones' similar transgression preceding the 2008 Sugar Bowl.
UW fans downplay that Michigan was actually super good and was a bad matchup against the interior of our OL while also having two really good NFL corners to take on our WRs. They also were smart enough to just run the ball at UW's defense and not try to establish the pass just because.
Because with the major advantage UW actually had, a team like Michigan can grind you down all game and still only be up by 7 with the opponent driving in the 4th quarter.
I believe they were the only team that had more guys drafted than us last year, and still had 1-3 first rounders or more on their roster for this last year. So unfortunately yeah, one of their best teams of all time or should be. Insane depth to get past Alabama and UW the way they did.

Can't be right. I don't see any Oregon rosters on that list.
This just feeds my DeBoer Natty Game Prep conspiracy theories even more. And I hate conspiracy theories as all here know.
DeBoer was amazing @RaceBannon for getting to 14-0. Should have been 15-0.
Should have had a contract long before we got there

Would AD Bannon have offered him $15 million before the Apple Cup ?
12 would have got it done. And been well worth it
Mostly agree but the comment after yours had me literally laughing 🤣
