At this point Mike Greenberg wins the most Insufferable Piece of Shit award for ESPN draft coverage this year and it's not close.

Davis could sit and choke on multiple cigars while fellating Lanning during the 6th round when one of his own developed players finally get drafted and he still wouldn't even be close to an east coast troglodyte like Greenberg.

It's not even really east coast bias with ESPN it's New York City and Masshole and that's about it vibe bias. Unless you're a former player. I'm going full Rude Jude Gladiahater this week. The SportsCenter anchor smart guy schtick stuff from the 90s was lame and didn't age well.

Fans who go to the NFL Draft are some of the strangest individuals I can think of though. Do you want to go to Green Bay, Wisconsin and stand around while they broadcast names? I love the whole thing where they're crossing their fingers and waiting in anticipation and then they announce some cornerback from South Carolina I've never even heard of and then they erupt like they know what that means. It's also ripe with weirdos who wear elaborate costumes.

I started to really hate the draft once the NFL turned it into a “fan experience”.

I can’t remember what year and team it was but a team drafted somebody in the first round and the fans erupted like they got Joe Montana but the guy was drafted way too high, the announcers and all the mock draft nerds thought the guy was a 2nd rounder. Again, the fans acted like it was Joe Montana.
