The answer to this is that it is the law. If you let the president violate the law and pick somebody off the streets, NO MATTER HOW VILE HE IS, then there isn't anything to stop from continuing. HE IS TESTING THE BOUNDARIES.

There is no controversy here I can see… SCOTUS ordered the Trump administration to facilitate that guy's return. So to comply with the order he has to facilitate it. The idea that he can't bring him back is nonsense, since we all know he could with a phone call. And if he doesn't comply under the Constitution he should be impeached for high crimes.

What I’m getting out of @AOG and his fellow Democrats is they believe that the USA has more rights to the custody of a foreign citizen than even the country of which they are actually citizens.
