I’ll be rooting for the Lakers vs Boston as a west coast guy since we didn’t have professional teams in Seattle while a few of us here were young. LA vs Boston will definitely draw me in and I believe they are on a collision course. Still can’t believe the Lakers swindled Luka from Dallas especially with the Buss family running the team since daddy died. If you believe in conspiracy theories with Cuban selling his team and Adam shifty shift Silver needing LA to have a star since Bron is 40 and on his last run.
Boston has the better team on paper but LA has the 2 stars, LA in 7 on the road

Based on what I've read, the regular season is pretty meaningless as a forecast of what will happen in the playoffs. ATBS, the Lakers are not winning it all. No luxury of resting guys or spaced out schedules once the second round starts. OKC and Boston are both younger and better teams.
I don't buy into the LA star conspiracy only because one would think the league would also be doing the same with the Knicks given the NYC market.
Cavs have been poor lately, Denver is now a certified dysfunctional mess.
Probably OKC barely beating LA and then losing to Boston.
I’m not buying OKC this year, they are 116 win M’s imo or Minnesota last year. LA in 7 over Boston is more wishful thinking, heart rather than head tbh. The playoffs will be the first time watching an nba game this year.
Sonics always lose to the Lakers when it counts
I like LA but I haven't watched anyone
I think Luca and James are a good playoff combo
Cleveland is also potentially a regular season team only, although their fans are pretty bullish since they have the size and length you need to play championship defense. It's possible that they ran Garland too hard all year so they have the #1 seed but a burned out PG.
The early 80s were tough as Sonic fans, more like heart breaking actually. Outside the early 80s, I still had a soft spot for the Lakers as a big Jerry West young fan once Seattle was out especially vs Boston! Hated seeing DJ play for the Celtics.
The worst loss in the playoffs was 95. Sonics were a much higher seed
I totally forgot the mid 90s Denver loss and the Jordan hiatus Sonic years, seems like a lifetime ago
How the fuck is Houston #2 in the West?
OKC vs Boston in Finals Toss up. Let’s say Boston in 7 if Porzingas stays healthy.
Feel bad for Joker. Not sure what his contract looks like but he needs to GTFO of Denver. Nuggets are on the verge of becoming Portland.
Wizards over Blazers in 6
And at the same time with Clingen, Avdija and Camara developing, Portland is on the verge of becoming Denver.
Can I just make a comment here on how the Wizards trading Avdija away to Portland after just his sophomore year where he averaged ~15 points a game is maybe the dumbest decision that any NBA franchise has made outside of Dallas and Luka?
Holy fuck that was an insanely terrible decision, and their fans knew it at the time.
I restarted utube tv for the nba playoffs starting with the playins today after enjoying the elite 8 to the end. Since guys like Bron and Curry don’t have much left in the tank I will try watching from the start for the first in a decade or two.
LA is going to the Finals unless either of the stars get hurt and the white boy pg is a legit 3rd wheel. If Cleveland can get by Boston I will like my Lakers chance better than beating Boston and their depth. LA needs one more championship to equal 18? for Boston.
Steve Kerr wearing a Harvard T-shirt after the game tonight 🥴
All I know about Houston is that they've sucked for over 4 seasons and so they must have a bunch of young talent idca and they lucked into a great coach that would still be at Boston today.
I saw Atlanta in person earlier this year, they're a good argument for why we shouldn't have play-in games at all.
The Throbber is conflicted - love the playing style and motion of the dynasty Spurs and Warriors. Can’t fucking stand Steve Kerr and Pop.
I'm wanting the Lakers and Nuggets to make deep runs, for the East I don't really care, kind of like the Cavs just because Spotify does that annoying thing where they force feed you new podcasts after your current episode/show is over, and this Wine and Gold show covering the team has been pretty good. I also somewhat like the Magic. Two teams that are going to be playing elite defense.
Man, I miss playoff basketball here. Best pro experience imo. The concourse between the Moda and Dr Jack's was fucking amazing before every OKC and Denver game during that run.
Then Golden State comes in hurt, and my BoL wearing his old school Baron Davis Warriors shirt is smoking weed and talking shit to all of us for two games, similar to me in Eugene in 2022. Some of the funniest chit I've ever witnessed.
Heat over the Hawks.
Dallas over Memphis.
