It took 30 years after civil rights and 120 years after the civil war, but in 1994 Republicans finally took over the state legislature in GA. They finally got rid of the racist dems. In 1992 the democrats elected the son of a racist segregationist to the position of VP in the White House. Old habits were hard to die I guess.
