Celtics City on HBO is worth the watch. New episodes every Monday.
@RaceBannon will hate it as a Laker guy. And in his youth the Throbber idolized Jerry West. But those fucking Celtics are a pretty special franchise. The Bird years, those white boys could ball.
Arguably 1986 is the greatest team of all tim. Not sure even Jordan's Bulls could have handled all that lack of melanin.
The Houston Rockets were the lost team of the 80s. They went to the Finals the two years that the Lakers didn't. First time with Sampson and Moses. Second time with a losing record - 1986. Lost to Boston both times. Lakers Celtics could have been 5 times instead of 3
Moses went to the Sixers and got doc J his ring in 83.
The ending was pretty insane but that wasn’t on Flagg. Guy was money all game, the fail was coaching although you have to give credit to Houston and their defense. During the game they said Flagg skipped his senior year and has a twin brother.
I expect Houston to be spent emotionally Monday after that crazy ending. They were celebrating in the locker room like the tournament was over and expect them to get beat rather easy.
If you have listened to NBA Radio on SiriusXM over the last couple years, Brian Scallabrine was actually Cooper Flagg’s AAU coach.
Flagg is possibly generational talent. He just clanked his last look.
Houston will compete to the finish Monday night. That’s how they play every single game. Their energy is their culture. They may clank shots and lose. But they won’t lose for lack of effort or emotional letdown.
I don't blame Flagg. It was a team collapse. I stand by Flagg not being ready to be a star in the NBA but no one cares. He's solid but no Walter Clayton Jr.
In keeping with the tradition of Houston winning the title in the semis I like Florida tonight
I believe a few of you are selling Flagg a little short considering he held his own last summer at 17 playing against our Olympic team. He needs to get stronger but his high school class hasn’t graduated yet and he won’t be 19 until December.

87 Lakers >> 86 Celtics
I was a Celtics fan growing up
Lakers in the 80s
The Celtics went from the first team to start 5 blacks and the first black coach in pro sports to white America's team
But the whites could play
86 Celtics v. 87 Lakers would be a tough matchup.
The difference in 87 was the big redhead was MIA. Played 80 games during the regular season in 86.

Fo Fo Fo
What a finish to last nights Duke-Houston game. Cooper Flagg is the real deal. Except when he absolutely needed to be.

That’s Kelvin Sampson.
That last shot by Flagg was hideous in slow motion. No rotation and a weird release. His jumper needs to be fixed.
I watched the final 9 minutes of the game after accidentally opening YouTube TV rather than plain old YouTube. Most basketball I've seen in 5 years.
Duke lol

#3 for the Gators
Coog’d it
No, it's boring
McHale, Bird, Parish, and Walton. Yes, Walton was gimpy and a shell of 70s Walton. That has to be the best front court ever.
Ainge and DJ were a solid back court.

So you agree he isn't ready
That's all I said
