Nobody's message within the AD has changed with NIL and it isn't going to. We keep asking the same questions hoping for some braindead Jen soundbite or expecting some whiny excuse or something. It's never going to come. They're treating it for what it is, which is a 180 from even just 2 years ago, so I don't see what the problem is.
I signed up for MF because yeah, the NIL arm is still going to be needed to close some players. That's no different than at any other power 2 school except maybe 1 or 2. And every school is saying, "we want more money".
It wasn't in direct response to what you said although my question would be, what kind of "NIL ideas" should the DC or even the head coach come up with?
The location and size of the companies and a ton of alumni working for those companies, like where else is there more and still accessible money?
They obviously bring it up because it's a real thing and not just Seattle lip service.
Microsoft made us do World of Warcraft shit for millions, like where else should they get the money?
It's rumored that guys like Balmer are already giving us money.
I think I’d be more appeased by him talking about practical applications of these companies’ money, or that of their employees. The WoW example is a good one.
The WoW thing almost seemed like kind of like NIL money laundering or some shit. It didn't seem like it was the audience for it at all so was weird for them to drop so much money into it. Seemed like kind of a way to justify giving the program a bunch of money and I wonder if they would do it again.

I didn’t hear much from him by way of NIL ideas other than “Fortune 500 companies.”
Karen Ramming could have come up with that.

Every football and basketball coach in America wants more NIL
The Bama basketball coach is going to Maryland because football gets the money at Bama
I'd be fine with the UW basketball coach hating that football gets the money
The Hec Ed porking lot would rake lots of NIL money. Combine with cutting hoops and a DOGE audit of the AD and upper campus. TITTT
Was curious last night and just looked it up .. Maryland lost their coach to Villanova?! Wow, just wow.
WoW as in “Whip em out Wednesday”???
Fuck off (in general, nothing about your comment)
Fire Jedd Fisch!
I can't forgive the WoW thing….
