The truth is a lot of programs don't know what the fuck they got. Penn State is about the only one which has proven high level talent coming back then you have some usual suspects who have stacked recruiting classes and portal mercs to the point it's really hard for them to fall off - Ohio State, Texas, Georgia, Oregon possibly. After that, no one knows shit.
A CFP berth at 10-2 is definitely a possible outcome this year
The 2016 prediction was based largely on the finish in 2015 as the young players developed and became dominating down the stretch in November
As Yella Piss mentioned, this is a different era
Having an OL and DL that is even just Big10 average would be a massive step up versus what there was for the 2024 season
I have some questions at LB (will have better depth but not sure we have a player as good as Bruener currently) and at S (I don't think we were great there in the portal)
The tough games on the schedule are Ohio St (home), Illinois (home), Oregon (home), Michigan (road), and Wisconsin (road) … how UW handles those games will be key
The other key part of the season is beating the programs that we're supposed to beat on the road … Wazzu, Maryland, and UCLA
I don't think it's unreasonable to think that this is a roster that could be 9-2 heading into the Oregon game … win that game and UW is in the CFP
I thought 2017 was going to be the year that group popped because the offense was still really young in 2016, but I think Ross getting injured the year before was a blessing in disguise. No one knew how electric he would be when he came back. Unfortunately I don't think we have anyone like that on the roster for next year, though if Demond progresses a lot we could really have something or if a slimmed down Coleman takes him up a notch.
I’ve said 9 wins all along, another concern which may not be a concern is WR. Our only given is that Boston will be good, I think we have some young talent available but will we have a dominant WR2?
WR is an underrated question. Boston tapered off after a fast start and I assume opponents focused on him more. I like Evans' potential but is only productive year was last year with a 21-415-5. Then it's a bunch of question marks. I have faith but it's something to worry about.
Kevin Green Jr. is shaping up like a Fisch era this guy is great in practice but he's never healthy guy.

Thanks Taft!
I watched the video, and a video of Sydney Sweeney in a bra auto played after it. TYFYS.
Spokane's finest.
This take isn’t going to go over well with the large contingent here that wants to crucify Jed after 15 months. Hi Race

The TSIO pod did predict the 2016 resurgence back in 2015. But that was a different era of college football.

Agree on OL and DL especially. If they can't protect Williams or stop the run, then I worry vast improvement won't be as much as hoped.
I think the OL will be good.
I think the DL desperately needs some guys to be healthy and if they are…it will be good also.

Expecting either of our lines to be anything better than mediocre is extremely optimistic and bordering on full blown doogish.

The Penn St transfer should be more than fine
we are going to suck because Fisch is the coach.
