Huskies blown out by classy Nebraska

Obviously huge win to pull ahead in the last 3-4 minutes. Ugly, terrible game but still.
Yeah what's keeping UW alive right now is that we beat most if not all of other other shitty teams we're going up against.
It really fucked us that USC lost to mother fucking Minnesota at home last night.
Next game is the the most critical of the season imo because it's the last team we need a tie breaker over and a win should jump us over ~3 teams and get us in the tournament. Lose it and we're too dependent on everyone else sitting the bed around us.

100%. I posted my comment on being tied with Minnesota when they were down 13 to USC. That game tightened everything up for UW. Fucking Mussleman, Conroy and QPon just can’t do UW a solid. Rutgers is almost a play in game for the B10 tournament. I’ll be watching.

Aaaaand, UW kicks the Rutgers game in OT. Fuck this team. So frustrating. I can’t wait for most of these guys to LEAVE!
A roster with 6’4” sophomore Diallo, 6’11” super senior Kepnang and 6’8” junior Harris coming back paired with the hyper athletic 6’8” French national Diomande that was cleared a few weeks ago (he’s a top 50 draft prospect, not sure he’ll ever dribble a ball for UW), #2 JUCO 7’ C Traore, top 40 6’10” PF Bundalo, top 60 true PG Madaquitt, top 100 SG Mildrew and you’ve got a nice mix of size and great athleticism, something this current team severely lacks. Add in a couple veteran guards from the portal to settle the ship and I think Sprinkle could be cooking next year. 6’ 9” Chris Conway hasn’t payed a single second this year. If he gets a medical redshirt he’d be a nice addition to the front court. He had 8 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists in Oaklands upset win over Kentucky in the tournament last year. Just like football I’m dying to get this season over with so I can see year two. I’m hopeful for both teams next season. Charging to maximum Doog over here! -
Ho-leeeee fuuuck that was a painful.
To just fucking throw it up to Great when they were up 1 with like 12 seconds to go, and then he fucking fouls the guy and takes himself out of the game and makes it guaranteed to go to OT.
The TV guy said it 100% correct about Osobor: he doesn't try to score so the refs refuse to just give him automatic calls.
Complete fucking travesty of a game and now the Iowa game is pretty much the season.

I give this team a 19% chance of winning that Iowa game on the road. TSIO

Yeah I watched quite a bit of the Oregon Iowa game before ours.
Iowa doesn't have two freshman future NBA players so we'll see.

It’s hilarious how you guys (HH) refer to Penn St as Pedo.
I saw we had a decent lead vs Rutgers at half and looked again on my espn app that they lost, same as Nebraska a few games back.
Hopefully sprinkle makes a big (no pun) jump next year because I have mostly been checked out of basketball for years. Really be great to see Husky Hoops have a couple tournament runs in my late years. 🤞 -
I get being checked out. It’s been a long, mediocre slog for over a decade. If you took the time to watch you’d see that unlike previous staffs, Sprinkle can actually coach. The Huskies switch from man to various zones on defense depending on personnel and fouls. Both defenses seem fairly competent which is a nice change to see as a fan. On offense they run a motion offense, run actual plays out of that offense and those plays often result in open shots. As you are aware by now if you’ve read any of the threads on UW basketball, this team can’t shoot, so the work rarely pays off. Lastly unlike the Hopkins or Romar runs this team has some out of bounds plays that get guys open. Weird I know. That’s new to me as a long time Husky hoops fan. Better, more athletic players are on the horizon. The handful of guys that stick around for next year will make a leap. That’s a Sprinkle thing, guys get better. This team is frustrating for sure but the bones of a good program are taking shape. Be patient.

I haven’t watched Iowa this year. I assume they’re full of white shooters as usual? UW struggles with great athletes so maybe the Huskies have a shot to bully these guys a little. They seem to play alright on the road against teams that aren’t hyper athletic. Maybe they’ve got a shot. Also, Is it the first game of the road trip? If so I’ll stick with my 19% prediction. They tend to lay an egg in the first game and regroup for the second. You’re right though, this is another huge game.

They were up in the first half by 7 or 8 when I was browsing my espn app vs Iowa and then I decided to take a nap. Woke up and checked back that they had lost. Same when I checked vs Nebraska and Rutgers.
Although I’m not excited about the team @theknowledge, I did listen to an interview with the coach before the season and got a great vib or a very favorable feeling about his connection to the program and his future plans. I had a similar feeling about Romar very early on until the wheels fell off.
My lack of enthusiasm is likely the one and done, in addition to the direction of college sports in general. I’m glass half full on our coach.
