While this would be nice for some folks, stimulating the economy while the inflation rate is rising again strikes me as a reckless idea.

Yep definetly against that. Dollar for dollar, it would be inflationary but less inflationary than the stimulus payments though. Stimulus was funded by creating a bigger deficit. DOGE dividend would be funded by actual cuts, so it wouldn’t be printing new money just repurposing existing money that has already been printed. Which would just be spent on new TV’s and shit.

Whatever waste is cut from the federal government should be used as a reason to shrink the government, lower taxes, and balance a budget for once. People whining about unnecessary federal jobs being cut, or frivolous spending being curtailed, when there was close to a $2 trillion deficit is so absurd it defies logic for all but the stupid.
Don’t like the plan for payments, wasn’t a fan when Bush did the $1200 but did spend it on a trip to Vegas.
Let me have more of my money by lowering taxes and reigning in federal spending, and I’m all in on that approach.

So….we have precedent for this. What was the result of the budget when Trump first gave out tax cuts? How did he do at reducing the deficit?
