Jerseys are for little kids and the players
@steelheader2 what was @puppylove_sugarsteel 's stance on grown ups wearing jerseys?

and the convenience of them to be numbered 40 and 20 was so considerate for local super sonic fans that happened to also be chronic dealers.

My money is on that Jack Doog, Pup, being a jersey wearer. I can picture the 5'11" pup, with flowing blonde locks, wearing a Tui jersey.

A lot depends on the sport IMO
Hockey culture is to wear a "sweater" to the game … and let's be honest most "sweaters" are awesome from a design standpoint. Agree with the prior comments that the "sweater" you wear should be tied to a team actually playing in the game and should be tied to a player instead of some stupid saying … I'm not crazy about using your own last name per se but I'll allow it
For other sports it's more hit/miss to me as I don't feel like it's quite the same as it is for hockey
In most instances, wearing any jersey outside of going to a game or for a unique situation (i.e. wearing a football jersey to a fantasy football draft) is not a great look

I've noticed during crisp, or 100 degree, fall Sundays, the employees at Safeway and I think Target have the option to wear their favorite NFL jersey. In fact, I think it's encouraged. It's pretty cringe, especially when 60 year old, overweight Becky has one on. I do wear a Seahawk hat at times, so one of them started chatting me up about Rusty Wilson during last offseason. It took me a minute before I remembered he was traded to the Stealers (lol!). The NFL can't get much more cringe at this point.
