Corn strip mines the soil as well. It’s a harsh mistress. The US should diversify their portfolio. Lots of room out there to grow a cornucopia of choices for consumers.

I know that we have a five-year stockpileof corn just sitting in silos and unless there is an uptick in market demand for ethanol, our consumption does not match our production, hence the fact that corn has not risen in price at even with 20% inflation across just about all other ag products.
