I know it's a joke but he knew this was coming when he sold his majority stake to a family that only ever wanted in to legalize gambling in Texas and build a new massive Casino/Arena.
Doncic is on a level where he owns whatever franchise he's on for the foreseeable future. That's what the NBA essentially agreed to with their stars.
These people weren't having it and it's not about the GM or being out of shape or any of that.

I don't follow the NBA at all, so I may be way out of my depth here but, aren't 3/4 or 3/5 top NBA players Europeans, i.e. they are listed as from either Greece or some Slavic country? Sad!
-
Depends on who you think are the top five.
Giannis, Luka and Joker belong in the conversation. Sort through KD, Steph, LeBron, Tatum and SGA on how to round out the squad.*Embid if he ever decides to play.
-
KD and LeBron are has beens at this point. They put up some stats, but they aren't tier 1 anymore and you can see it in the standings. I think Steph still has it, but his team is old and washed. If drafting a team I would go with Tatum over any of those three. SGA, too.
The Euro's have taken over.
-
It's Jokic, then Luka, then SGA.
No one else deserves to be in the conversation.

It’s an uncertain future as well. While the NBA continues to grow internationally, it’s a dying brand in the United States. Will the international growth outpace the US decline? I would be concerned about what the franchise valuations will be in the next 5-6 years. Paying super max deals might not make financial sense.
-
I've had the same thought for awhile. The international market has to be what's keeping it afloat with the ratings collapsing. I also don't think that international audiences have limitless growth without relocating teams abroad.

Don't sleep on my Lakers. The NBA is Fantastic once again. LeBron and Luka has me watching again
-
I think that trade was rigged by the NBA to lift up Lebron
-
The Lakers are bigger than LeBron. It was done for the Lakers so they remain relevant post LeBron
