The two year clock is now ticking on a Clarence Thomas resignation. He is now 78 and although he is the remaining best justice on the Court (Scalia dead) and I don't want him to pull a Ruth Bader Ginsberg and take a chance on the dems taking the Senate back in 2026 and leaving no chance for the Senate to approve a Trump nominee. Sotomayor is 70 and in bad health and she ignored resigning while the dems had the Presidency and the Senate.
