I logged 14 drinks for the past week.
Mon - 0
Tues- 0
Wed - 1
Thurs - 3 (College Football Playoff)
Fri - 2
Sat - 5 (kids at grandparents and went on date night so a cocktail, two beers, and a whiskey for desert plus one more whiskey at home spinning records)
Sun - 3 (One beer post skiing, and 2 watching #MyRedskins)
10 or fewer is the goal, but you can see how easy it is to exceed this number and while not being a total drunkard.

We're exposed to hundreds or thousands of "toxins" on a daily basis. The dose matters and that's my beef with the surgeon general and the lack of nuance.
-
Unfortunately we all know that big clear messages work on the masses and nuance does not. So the SG has to shout from those rooftops to target the lowest common denominator.

My weekend report:
Friday - 3 beers (2 cans, but one was a 20 oz Dogfish Head 9% double imperial IPA….so probably counts for 2)
Saturday - 0
Sunday - 2 pints while watching NFL at Capone's.
Pretty light week.

I had one bourbon with my neighbor on Saturday. That was the extent of my drinking for the week

Not so fast, my friend!

“We have a specific system to break down alcohol. Why would we have evolved that if we weren’t supposed to drink it?” asks Prof Nyström. “Drinking alcohol in moderate quantities is OK, and probably even good for you.”

If you think about most of human history was made by drunk people because getting drunk escaped the misery that is most of human history
Sobriety is a recent concept. 20th century stuff

I mean if I was seeing men under my command get killed by Nazis at age 24, I'd probably drinks a 5th of Cutty Sark a day too.
