Parking tickets are YUGE money makers for cities.
-
More evidence of Team Dazzler's commitment to public
indoctrinationeducation. Imagine voting for this. Imagine a huge federal education bureaucracy that supports this. -
literacy requirements are racist!
-
Gotta include the illiterate teachers, too, you damn bigots!!
-
I've been told elsewhere on the bored that we can attract more teachers if we just pay the "a little more". We might be able to expect literacy from them even.
-
Eliminate the bad teachers. Eliminate the incredibly expensive education bureaucracy that educates no one. Restore discipline to the classroom. Then pay for quality teachers. Teachers at Jesuit in Beaverton are paid less than the public high school teachers in Beaverton. For some reason the Jesuit teachers are happier than the Beaverton public teachers.

I don't disagree. I would specify with the restoration of discipline that it should not be the responsibility of the public schools to educate those who disrupt the process and that expulsion should be more easily accomplished. For those who simply are not that interested in academics, but who would like to learn a trade, I think that should be an option at some point in the process.

Sort of late to the party Pal. Nice comments but unfortunately individual responsibility and accountability aren't a voting issue for you. On the other hand you still have unlimited abortion in your blue states. So, overall a winner for you.

Yes, and what's your point? Cut out all the admin fat and woke positions. Stop letting teachers indoctrinate seven year olds about what people do in the bedroom.

Portland getting serious about illegal camping. Portland has more homeless today than when the dems said they were getting serious about the issue and throwing millions and millions to "solve" the problem.
-
The solutions don't seem all that hard.
- Enforce laws, including drug, loitering, camping, parking (some cities have a 48-72 hr. limit on parking in one spot), enforce panhandling laws
- Set up shelters - most cities have unused buildings, or rent some hotel
- For perpetual offenders, give them a choice, either get clean or spend time in the can
- Fund looney bins better
- Loosen red tape so more housing can be built, and it's less expensive to buy and rent
Bill for mayor of a town near you
-
You just haven't been paying attention then. I grew up in the household of a classroom teacher and consequently grew up with a real time awareness of bloated administration as an issue. And this isn't the first time I've made any of these comments.

As always you vote against what you claim to be for
-
I voted against installing a convicted felon as POTUS.
You voted for it.
-
Sure

-
Felony convictions require prison time. When's Trump going to prison?
Demonrat demonic bullshit!
-
Your president of the United States will have this ham sandwich overturned on appeal.
-
So the fix is in? You might be right.
-
Stomp these little fucks out early in life and they don’t grow into massive fucks later.
Short people got no reason to live.
-
You beat me.
-
In NY it was. Your meltdown is entertaining and satisfying.
-
It probably did deserve its own thread.

Short people got no reason…

Importing the best and the brightest to do the raping that the native citizens won't do. Nothing says you care about women like importing rapists and then trying to hide the problem. Second chaser, it's not just Norway and Germany it's happening here but we work even harder at covering up the problem.

The Daily Chart: Immigrant Crime in NorwayA lot of my libertarian friends, especially at the currently drifting but once-great Cato Institute, like to defend their clueless open-borders disposition by pointing to statistics that purport to demonstrate that illegal immigrants commit crimes at lower rates than native-born Americans. Even if you assume the crime statistics are complete and accurate these days (and usually it is libertarians who express doubt that our law enforcement bureaucracy reports accurately), it misses two points obvious to a first-grader, but not apparently to the pre-school mentality of some libertarians: if we actually controlled our borders, the crime rate from illegal immigrants would be near-zero, whatever the actual prevalence. (Just ask Laken Riley, who would be alive right now if we did have serious border control.) But second, the true illegal immigrant crime rate is 100%; it’s indicated in the title itself. Duh.
Better would be some kind of discrimination about rates of crime among various immigrant groups. Here it is interesting to see what Norway’s crime statistics, pried loose by one of Norway’s right-leaning political parties against predictable opposition from the self-hating left, can tell us. The chart below is in Norwegian, but it denotes the prosecution rate per 1,000 individuals for violent crime in Oslo among men age 15-24, 2021-23.
Headline: Almost half of young Somali men in Oslo (483 out of 1000) were arrested and charged with violent crime over the two-year period in question.
