rebuild with Americans instead?
have fun finding ones who want to do the job.
-
Paying citizens and legal green card people a little more won't cause 12% inflation, Mildred. Printing the money and forcing everyone to stay home almost did, though, and you cheered.

"a little more" of someone else's money
sure

GeorgiaDuck and I have a friend who's home burned down to ashes on Tuesday morning. Lost virtually everything including pets. Went to work early, got a message that there was a fire and raced home to find out he couldn't get up the hill to his house. Its all gone.
He bought the house 10-12 years ago. It sits right on the canyon in PP with a view to Malibu on the right and beautiful view to the East toward the UCLA area. His location is right in the middle of the most severe damage. They had big plans for the house. It wasn't a tear down at all, but they wanted to knock down some walls and put wall to wall disappearing glass sliders on the back of the house on both floors so they could enjoy open air living. One problem: The permit office told them they were backlogged for 8-12 months. They were upset, lived in the house and waited. They got started and got to an inspection point. They were told the inspector was backlogged 2 months. They were upset but lived in the house with naked walls made of 2x6's and no dry wall. It came to plumbing and electrical and the inspectors took more than a month each to come inspect. Final inspection took weeks. They went to install a sprinkler system and the CA equivalent of the EPA required money to do some sort of environmental impact. That took months. What should have taken 6 months at most, took over 2.5 years to complete.
Imagine what the rat run government is going to do to those that want to re-build. It will take years upon years and tons of red tape. If I were them I would run as fast as I could, just get the fuck out of there.

Depress wages with illegals
Good luck finding Americans!
Why you lost
-
Exactly. Open borders was definitely the tipping point for many formerly dem voters who could no longer ignore what was happening at the border. Having Headboard and her dem supporters try to explain how paying for gender change for illegal aliens in jails was a bridge too far. Not for Team Dazzler and Soccer Duck.
-
so you agree? wages should be increased?
-
-
I work with a bunch of them regularly.
-
You catch on quick
Flooding the market depresses wages. It's science
-
I’m glad to hear we finally agree that American workers should be paid more. Imagine that
-
I mean I've only made that point a thousand times but thanks for hopping on pal
I've been in construction since 1980. I voted for Clinton twice to try to save the industry from illegals. That and energy are why I'm a magatard
You should get out more
-
That and the Covid money printing
-
The brilliant economists say illegal immigration is deflationary. That is true to a point. But when it’s 20m and most aren’t working, it is part of why inflation soared.

Our C- high school graduate knows more about the California permitting process than our elite college MSM graduates.

Adam Carolla: California's Government Started These Fires, and Has an Evil Surprise Coming for Those Who Lost Their Homes: They Won't Let You Rebuild the Homes They Burned Down, Either
—Ace
Trainer/host of The Biggest Loser Gillian Michaels confirmed that, saying that when her home was burned down by another regularly-scheduled disastrous wildfire years ago, it took her a full year just to get the permit to...
Bulldoze the wreckage of her destroyed home.
Not to rebuild the home. That would take another gauntlet of permit approvals.
But just to secure the right to bulldoze away the ruins of her home, she had to wait a year for the blessing of California's oppressive government.
You think they're going to just let people rebuild their homes or -- the horrors! -- even rebuild their homes with a somewhat different blueprint this time?
Oh no. Oh dear no.

Inflation for thee(food, housing, gas)
Deflation for me(wages).
