Couch Sale: NFL Edition

does Fisch do the right thing and make the call?

I don't think I'd trust Grubb to use Demond enough as a runner. Pass.
-
demond would call his own number as he saw fit.
Of all the unknown shit out there I’d take this flyer on grubb hubb because we know what we're? getting.
-
Grubb is better than Carroll who built a strong offensive line actually at Arizona but nobody of note was interested in following him. He has a decent sized budget with good skill players and has had trouble getting linemen to come over, plus they played bad.
All that being said no way Fisch tries to bring him on board. -
Rehab in Bama forthcoming.
-
Too pass happy, tired of the 30yrd fades and low % plays. RTDB moar
It worked with Penix and 3 nfl receivers.
-
The situation turned out not to be great with the Hawks. Banged up OL, starting center retires mid-season, interior OL talent underwhelming, Metcalf a head case, and Kenny Walker getting hurt etc etc.
-
I don’t follow the NFL beyond occasionally checking box scores, so pardon my shit for brains. Was anyone really expecting better than 10-7? Geno Smith seems like a long term stop gap and they’ve got some above average skill players, but no one who is even top 5 at their position. Did Grubb really do all that poorly?
-
Back to murdering families on summer vacation, I suppose.
-
tbh, 'bama rehab' worked for a lot of coaches when saban was there. going to rehab there would be like going to regular rehab; you're gonna come out more fucked up and probably on some new (and interesting!) drugs.
maybe not the worst thing in the world?
-
I think it only worked when Saban was there.
-
Grubb had his share of issues but this is a delusional move by the Seahawks.
-
Grubb took the bullet for Schneider who hasn't put together one good oline in the last 10 years
-
How quickly we forget Grubb's part in turning easy wins to close nail biters. Drove people crazy
ATBS he belongs with DeBoer and in college. The same criticism given to Kalen applies to Grubb. Maybe they should both go to the Falcons
-
His refusal to call shorter routes and run the ball vs the beav in the rain was a black eye and I remember it well. Overall still a good OC. Did it with Haener too.
-
This
Dude was going for homeruns to win by 20 when two singles to win by 10 would’ve been fine
-
Last home game vs Oregon, we get turnover in 3rd quarter, up by 10 or so, Grubb goes for home run bomb, 3 and out. Every freakin Tim. Flag football offense
-
No, but it’s far easier to terminate a first year OC than it would be to move on from Geno Smith, considering what’s out there. Why they deemed him fireable after a single season is a horse of a different color.
-
Can’t. Blame. QB.
Must. Be. OC. -
Geno and line suck.
Schneider trade and draft failures.
Abort the OC.
-
Geno is good enough to be hard to replace but not good enough to win anything with
He's a rich man's Will Rogers
-
I watched 8-10 Seahawk games. Grubb wasn't perfect, but he wasn't the problem either, it was the line for the 17th straight season, and the interception machine at quarterback. Met-calf seemed out to lunch at tims too.
-
They held on to a dud like Bevell for at least three years too long, but they fire Grubhub. 🤦♂️
-
They should trade Metcalf. The guy is not a winner and is probably the only viable trade asset of value. Use his money on the offensive line. JSN is better than him at this point, anyways.
-
I seem to remember a post-game comment by Grubb after a loss when they didn’t run in the second half, to the effect of “We couldn’t move the line of scrimmage”…
- The truth
- Walker (when healthy, and that has become a big “when”) and Chardonnay are legit
- The OLine sucks ass (Captain Obvious POTY)
- The guy that constructed the OLine (Schneidly) made the call
It made me go “hmmm” then, and does now…
-
I love Kenny walker but his running style is never going to allow him to stay healthy and it’s only going to get worse as he gets older
-
gonna suck when Lanning hires him
-
he made the same shit for brains decisions there as he didn’t udub. Just less margin for error because of parody across the nfl.
-
he needs a real line before he has the opportunity to be a scapegoat.
This team, with the second half defense all year, and a crowd that’s doesn’t fucking suck, goes 6-3 at home instead of 3-6, and is 13-4.
-
Parody?
-
Demond is 180lbs soaking wet. His strength is going to be passing off of his ability to create time with his legs, and obviously to scramble and pick up first downs.
