Pretending a lot of people are going to choose restaurant work at even a $20 minimum wage in Seattle is where this outrage gets awfully silly. People fled the industry in droves during the pandemic.

You spelled "fled" wrong. Try "left because they were laid off due to democrats closing restaurants and then paying the workers more than they were making if they went back to work".

So you agree with me—which must be painful—but object to the workers taking the opportunity to improve their lot. And yes, most people would not choose to work in food service if all things were equal. Those who fled are working in other industries; they didn’t exit the workforce.

Meanwhile, the youngsters who escaped food service are still working. The labor force participation rate for 25 to 54 year olds hasn’t been as high as it is now since 2007.
