This is what happens when you ignore the OL

Dallas has invested in its OL big time and it shows.KenND said:Shitty OL and average WRs equals a QB that has to run for his life every snap. Saving money by putting together a shitty OL is a really bad idea.

You have to have an OL that can pass block or WRs that can get open quickly. The Seahawks have neither, and the offense is an abortion because of it.TierbsHsotBoobs said:

They have a WR that can get open quickly in the slot named Harvin, yet they refuse to let him run downfield. He has 2 plays - either a sark bubble screen for -1 yards or a -3 yard jet sweep.KenND said:

The shitty line won a SuperBowl. Great overreaction to a game. Give the ball to Lynch 20+ times and all is good. The Cowboys teed off because it was 3rd and long almost every because of Bevell's fucktarded play calling.
-
They won the Super Bowl despite the shitty line, and they decided that they could do it again this year. The play calling is shitty too, but your pass plays aren't going to work consistently either way when Wilson has multiple pass rushers in his face immediately after the snap. You can't just hand the ball off every time.RoadDawg55 said:The shitty line won a SuperBowl. Great overreaction to a game. Give the ball to Lynch 20+ times and all is good. Because the passing game has been so bad every week. Wilson can't run either. I agree about the OL, but it's still a stupid post and an overreaction to one game.KenND said:

The Hooks had the #2 offense in the NFL (per football outsiders dvoa, the best metric for this there is) going into this game. They played like absolute shit, and yes the OL was the biggest reason, but it's top 10 offense at worst and probably top 5. Far from a fucking abortion.KenND said:

Has DangeRuss ever thought of stepping up to avoid the rush instead of running backwards 15 yards?
-
The passing game HAS been bad most weeks. Seattle is second to last in the NFL in passing yards per game. We don't even average 200 yards per game through the air. That is pathetic.RoadDawg55 said:

Pure passing yards is a really shortsighted way of judging an offense. HTH

Passing offense. HTH.dhdawg said:Pure passing yards is a really shortsighted way of judging an offense. HTH

Still shortsighted. 20th in Y/A is not that good but it isn't an "abortion," 2 interceptions and one was a forced pass at the end of the game yesterday.
They are built to be a run first team, and are 12th in the league in PTS/G. I fail to see how the offense is an abortion. The defense has been worse than the offense if I'm being honest -
I support an immediate abortion for Bevell
-
There's more to it than that. Yeah, the offense was designed to be run-first, but the OL is so pathetic at pass protection that the pass game is almost entirely reliant on Wilson's ability to avoid the rush that is often on him immediately after the snap. That may work sometimes, particularly against weak teams, but at other times it results in a dumpster fire like it did this weeken. That is why the offense is an abortion.dhdawg said:Still shortsighted. 20th in Y/A is not that good but it isn't an "abortion," 2 interceptions and one was a forced pass at the end of the game yesterday.

CuntND, I remember my first Seahawks game. Nobody is arguing about the OL, but you are a fucking moron who obviously doesn't watch the team very often to be spewing that shit.

You remembering your first Seahawk game has nothing to do with anything, you stupid fuck.RoadDawg55 said:CuntND, I remember my first Seahawks game. Nobody is arguing about the OL, but you are a fucking moron who obviously doesn't watch the team very often to be spewing that shit.
I said that the OL is mediocre, and yet here you are wanting to argue about a fucking straw man. Here's a hint for you...No one but you said that the passing game is terrible every week. Even if they aren't terrible every week, it doesn't mean that there isn't a problem. Everyone with a pair of working eyes can see that Wilson spends much of the time running for his life because the OL can't protect him. It's a recurring problem:
http://espn.go.com/blog/seattle-seahawks/post/_/id/8843/the-film-dont-lie-seahawks-2
"According to ESPN Stats & Information research, Wilson was sacked or under duress on a career-high 20 of his dropbacks Sunday (45.4 percent) in the 26-20 overtime victory over the Denver Broncos."
"Overall this season, he has been sacked or under duress on 37.1 percent of his dropbacks, second worst in the league."

I like the Domer in this one.

Game, set, match...bitches.

That rollout and then telegraph the pass 7 yards behind the line is gonna pay dividends.RoadDawg55 said:The shitty line won a SuperBowl. Great overreaction to a game.
