Azzopardi with a full offseason of lifting MIGHT be better than G Hatchett at guard.
Nothing about G Hatchett being back excites me
-
That being said, get another portal lineman that is solid like the K State player.
-
There’s a lot riding on brother Hezekiah’s ability to coach.
-
Thats better than this year but still not what we need to be. Need another impact guy or two.
-
Well he was good enough to be a 4-star recruit and then good enough for another very good program (Oklahoma) to want him. Yeah he's getting over an injury (bicep) but better than a leg injury.
He will also be a 5th year player rather than a RS-Frosh or RS-Soph.
-
I don't know, Faasolo is a legit 6'8" and those guys don't tend to hold up well against 6'3" DTs who have much better leverage.
Faasolo is an RT to me, not quick enough to stick at LT but 1 more year of experience would serve him well technique-wise to play RT.
But it will be chinteresting to see where the staff wants Finau (will be a RS-Frosh in 2025) and Champ may be ready to play some snaps at OG as a true frosh.
-
Champ is a nice prospect but Fautano and Rosengarten didn’t play as true freshman. Nor did Paki until late in the year. If Champ is playing guard next year UW is in trouble.
-
Yeah, I was thinking a back-up who may end up burning his redshirt but in an ideal world, they redshirt him.
May not be ideal running with RS-Frosh Finau and / or RS-Soph Henning at LG but maybe the staff thinks Finau will be ready. He looked the part as a true frosh.
-
ummm….no.
-
Finau was the highest graded Olineman for UW in the Sun Bowel.. For whatever it’s worth. Thought he did a great job
-
Yeah someone blocked a guy a handful of times. I believe it was him.
-
@priapism??!!?? True??!!??
-
Push up the middle and heat from the edge.
-
He's not 6'8; look at him when he's standing next to Azzopardi between plays and you can see it. D.A. might be a legit 6'7 but he's taller than Faasolo.
Faasolo may be 6'6 but so was Kalepo and Buelow and they did fine inside last year. He looks pretty good run blocking and has long arms, so he may be a good fit at LG, but we have alot of guys inside already. Finau played RT in HS and looked great there; he may be Fautanu's little brother in the long run.

@theknowledge McLaughlan is 6’2” 190 and Christian is 6’1” 196. With an offseason of P4 nutrition and training I’ll bet both tip the scales at or over 200lbs by fall camp. That’s plenty big for the BIG.
Hope you're right because the pics I saw they're skinny AF and their arms are twigs. -
Dan Jackson 6’1” 195KJ Bolden 6’ 185
These are the starting safeties for the Georgia Bulldogs.
Can you read a defense, cover and can you hit. If UWs new safeties can it’s an upgrade and their size is just fine.

Size and weight are nice if you have great football fundamentals, but getting big guys that are shitty fundamentally and lack intelligence is not good.
-
Dom Hampton’s first four years at UW say hi!
-
-
Devon Witherspoon wants a word. I know he’s a CB but he hits like a safety.
-
Per Huffman, 400 lb OL Peter Langi has been granted release from his LOI and is flipping to Arizona. This is likely good news. The chance this guy would have contributed was pretty slim.
-
Good new cause he wouldn’t contribute or because it frees up a spot for a better OL?
-
abundance
-
Chinteresting, very chinteresting.
-
Good because it frees up a scholarship while Arizona spends time and resources getting him into a healthy and productive weight before he transfers back as a starter
-
It sounds like he is a little bitter?
-
I'm guessing they asked him to gray shirt, but he was probably 6th out of the 6 OL we're bringing in
-
They obviously fat shamed him when he failed to lose weight. Sad.
-
Ah yes, good point about the grayshirt.
-
I, for one, welcome back the WDWHA mantra around here.
