That's absolutely possible.
On the other hand, UW could be in first place this time next week. -
Huh?

I'm claiming Shelton knocking mariota out of the game and ducks putting a huge * on this season and thus saving helfreeze's career for another year.

Thinking long term, I don't want UW to do anything this week that might jeopardize Hellbents long term tenure at Oregon.

I would have a little confidence this week if I thought we might score on offense. If we magically can put 24 offensive points up (as opposed to mild mannered, PC points), I would feel pretty good about our chances.Mosster47 said:Oregon breezes past UW. Kim Griswold and F3 get the Doogs in a tizzy about how Sark was awesome and Peterman is another Koetter/Hawkins. Quooks start their pathetic attempt to call out Nega-Ducks for being idiots with the plunger looming at Utah in a few weeks.

The whining from Quooks that would occur if Shelton knocked Mariota out on the opening series would make me go through multiple pairs of sweatpants.

I thought this was going to be a thread the best ghey-pop, top-40 band ever.
I'm disappointed. -
I would almost rather see them move the pocket and have Peters kill him.RoadDawg55 said:The whining from Quooks that would occur if Shelton knocked Mariota out on the opening series would make me go through multiple pairs of sweatpants.

The script demands a blowout oregon win.
Nearly every year for the past decade has had doogs getting boners over early season 4-1 records, naming this THE YEAR that Oregon is vulnerable. And nearly every year the oregon game has begun the swan song.
The script is about UW, not oregon.
Oregon's script plays out differently, losing out to Stanford for the title again, but UW is no factor in their script.

Hey dumb fuck, I have just one word for you that will nullify your whole entire "UW last decade" script

Husky defenses used to be known for that kind of toughness and pressure, hitting quarterbacks with enough authority to make them loopy and ineffective, often knocking them out of games. Win or lose, bring the fucking pain was a hallmark of the Huskies, on both sides of the ball.brchco12 said:I'm claiming Shelton knocking mariota out of the game and ducks putting a huge * on this season and thus saving helfreeze's career for another year.

Peterman's Dawgs looked pretty good at Cal, but Goff was still game aware when the buzzer sounded. They won't be great until they routinely get into the opposing quarterback's head. If Shelton, or Kikaha, or Hudson, or anyone else actually knocks Mariota out of the game, that will be a very strong sign that Peterman and Kawasaki are close to bringing back old school Husky Football. Saving Ruprecht/Slingblade would be a bonus, but I'd be doogin it up over finally, after decades of absence, seeing a real Husky defense. Hell, I might even blow a dusty load in my old fart sweat pants if that happens.
By the way, props to whomever posted the ESPN article on Peterman at UW. This season has been a series of "teachable moments", and it's highly likely that this game at Autzen will be another one of those. This has been frustrating as hell to watch as a fan. It's going to take longer to clean the team of the Sark stench than I think most of us would like, but it appears that real progress is being made. The team is better at this point in the season than it was at the beginning of the season, something that never really happened under Gilby, Ty or Sark. In fact the last time that was the norm for the Huskies, Don James was the head coach. They're certainly not the best team in the conference at this point, but from what I'm seeing, Peterman's approach is pointing them in that direction, and it's possible that they'll be that team no one in the conference wants to play as early as the end of this season. We'll see. -
Hmmm. That's a Duck beating his meat for Pete. Not sure that's a good idea, unless the Duck actually liked the last plunger Pete inserted. Just sayin.AZDuck said:PGOS beating his meat for pete

I think we could be really clicking by the end of the year, if it takes well into next season, the husky faithful might start grumbling.
fuck us for getting impatient with the right coach, and buying excuses from the wrong dudebrah coach. -

There is some dooging in this thread, but Quooks that think everything is fine because they beat the most overrated team in the country are worse. Your OL still sucks. UCLA has 6 sacks all season. Your DL and LB's are mediocre at best, and your coach is over his head. Oregon most likely has enough to beat UW at home, but more losses are coming.
-
I agree that we will most likely lose one or more games as the season concludes, but one of them is unlikely to be UW.
