We should definitely stop aiding countries that don't need aiding. DOGE!!!

Hopefully we can do that. You seem to have this board confused with Fox News.

    What would stop you?

    100. What a monumental fuck up. It would be like Montlake Futures wiring $50 million to Division Street. You just don't do that.

Also, I'll say this: it's a lot about oil, but it's not all about oil. Not close. You have a massive political, social and cultural force that leans hard into a particularly rigid and antiquated form of sectarian belief, and that leaning mobilize people both in the region and in the broader diasporas. If you doubt that, you'd have to explain to me why it is that people in Hamtramck, Dearborn and London are sympathetic to those leanings, are trying to recreate those societies where they sit and are hostile to their current homeland. There are no oil issues in Michigan or London. But there are striking cultural issues that are rubbing up against, and in tension with, some of the most basic tenets of western morality and civilization. It's not my opinion. It's just a fact. Nothing to do with oil.

I understand that oil interests, private and governmental, get involved to stoke fires, put them out, stoke them again elsewhere, etc. etc. But there's a lot more going on than that. Oil is not the reason that the Arab world wants Israel to disappear. And the Palestinian Arabs, who are disproportionately responsible for trouble in the region, do not give a fuck about oil. They really don't give a fuck about the dirt as much as they let on. What they care about is Israel and Jews not being there. And they have a lot of support in the wider Arab world.

Have to say I loved reading MBS say he personally does not care about the Palestinian issue. He literally said that. But he also acknowledged that his people do, so he has to pay attention, though her personally gives no fucks. What does that tell you? MBS is the oil guy. But his people are not. They are the "no Jews allowed" crew. He has to deal with that. The Saudi family, and other Arab elites like them, have to balance their own personal views and interests with the wider perspective lest they get thrown out.

Most everyone in both parties. Republicans generally suck in Congress too. We’ve been over this.

All of that shit exists for sure. I’d argue it partially exists as a deliberate and useful distraction to the people so that they’ll look the other way on how much oil money the guys in charge are making. And then they buy weapons with that money to further ingrain themselves. Same thing Wall Street does here and does everything they can to highlight identity politics.

The Team Dazzler left believes or at least says they do that all cultures are equal, some just have spicier food. And that spicy food is worth open borders because diversity is our strength. The one exception is the existing western Judeo-Christian culture which needs to be changed and replaced. From this you get LGBTQ∞ groups supporting Hamas and Hezbollah as being morally superior to Israeli Jews because reasons. As you said, what sane citizen would want to turn London into Londonistan or Dearborn into Dearbornistan. Afghanistan doesn't have oil and it's just a muslim sh*thole that managed to chew up a couple of trillion or so of US dollars that we refused to spend on our own borders and citizens.

I think a fundamental issue exists that the interests exploit to their benefit. But I don't hold the [Marxist] theory that all morality is a construct by those in power to further their interests. Some things are beyond economics.

    100. And I honestly don't believe the left wants to do that either. If they were confronted with that reality they'd shit. It's just that they're too fucking stupid and arrogant to realize that they are helping it along. They also are too preoccupied with an obsession over oppressor class politics to see clearly enough that these cultures do nothing but oppress people. I don't think they believe that gay men are thrown off buildings. They think it's made up. I wish they could see it for themselves.

It’s definitely amplified with money and power. Israel and the US are scapegoated internally as the reason that the Muslim world is pretty backwards compared to the west. They should really be blaming Europe if anyone.

  • HHuskyHHusky Member Posts: 21,330

You'd have to be retarded to say I'm a cultural relativist.

But then there's the explanation. Mystery of Gasbag solved!

  • WestlinnDuckWestlinnDuck Member Posts: 15,545 Standard Supporter

The truth is that the left's political philosophy is largely based on group think based on feelings versus any rational policy based on factual reality. Might call it a pagan religion. Virtue signaling is their stock in trade to show their moral superiority. Hence sanctuary cities and states. Individually, Team Dazzler isn't admitting any non-English speaking sharia muslims into their home. The actual rule makers aren't riding the NY subway system. Living in a gated community or a NYC co-op with a doorman and sending your kids to private school or a high end public school with two parent households and few non-English speaking students leaves them, at least today, pretty much free from the reality of open borders, defunded police and Soros DAs and governors releasing criminals into the general community. But have Ron DeSantis send a busload of Venezuelan illegal aliens to Martha's Vineyard and the National Guard is summoned to get the rid of the trash. Never mind the leftard mantra that we can't use US troops to secure the border or to assist in the deportation of illegals.

setting aside the Tug debates, to which political philosophy does cultural relativism belong? It ain’t the right.

  • HHuskyHHusky Member Posts: 21,330

    @creepycoug

The adoption of any idiocy is strictly voluntary. I assume you don’t feel obligated to adopt right wing idiocies; I don’t feel obligated to embrace cultural relativism. Northern European culture is superior to all others.

    Change my mind.

The people you vote for think you're a racist and teach cultural relativism to young minds of mush

Your opposition is worthless as always

Dead White Men are no longer taught and that includes Ragnor Lothbrook

  • WestlinnDuckWestlinnDuck Member Posts: 15,545 Standard Supporter

Your supposed rejection of cultural relativism is duly noted. Now do honest elections, secure borders, criminals in jail, safe and effective public schools, hiring and promotion based on meritocracy, no sexual mutilation of children, no men in women's locker rooms, bathrooms or sports teams. Leftards lie and love to be lied to.

  • HHuskyHHusky Member Posts: 21,330

I don’t really care what others think. To the extent people see things my way, they are seeing things correctly. And then there’s you gals.

  • RaceBannonRaceBannon Member, Swaye's Wigwam Posts: 106,789 Founders Club

And then there are the people you vote for while claiming to disagree with what they do

Why not vote for folks who want to get the bullshit out of education. Being a genius and all that should be an easy fix for you

If I was against a border wall, ID for voting, and drill baby drill I wouldn't vote for Trump. If I wanted inflation to continue and a shitty economy I wouldn't vote for Trump
