What Fisch did at zona was impressive. It was absolutely scorched earth when he took over and they improved each year. It used to be if a coach didn't pop by year 3 they sucked 90% of the time. I have no idea how to evaluate that now with the portal. Is 3 years too long? Then again he had replace 40 something spots on the roster.
Definitely reasons for concern.
Teams like Wisconsin and Nebraska still had a game where they were close against the top of the league, we didn't ever come close to belonging.
The offense couldn't score a lot of points and lacked identity.
Make-a-wish special teams play.
Positives
He is not Ty or Gilby or Jon Donovan.
Defense was better this year with worse personnel.
Our kicker cost us two games. Also a negative that we needed a decent kicking performance to beat Rutgers or wazzu.
Portal could make or break next season. We could get some good players and still suck and then we know it's over. Or we can get no good players and just be used to drive up their value with the blue bloods.
As of today we are eligible for the off season natty.

I'm not so sure the defense was better. The most glaring stat (Stats are for losers, but still) was we? couldn't get off the field on 3rd down this season.
I'd say it was better due to fewer points allowed and better total defense, especially considering the talent level dropped off and the injuries increased.
If the staff can get two good DTs and 1 good LB in the portal, then they really should improve (I am bullish on the younger guys in the secondary). There were too many JAGs on the 2024 D.
I've doubted the better defense thing all season. I think the competition has a lot to do with it, especially at QB and offensive coaching. Last year the defense faced:
Bo Nix (Top 15 pick) 2x
Caleb Williams (#1 overall pick + Heisman)
JJ McCarthy (Top 10 pick)
Cam Ward (Possible #1 overall or at least first QB taken)
Quinn Ewers (I'm not in love but has been talked about as a first round QB)

This is a good point. Jedd loves kicking FGs. He should come here.

This year, uh…Gabriel? Allar?
Bananas and coconuts.
Take it to the Wrong thread, Fucko thread
Pretty good idea huh
Obviously a WTE
6’10” wingspan. Holy shit!
but how are his hips?
Exquisite
a little excited here…
He’s not too small that they couldn’t find him but man did they sure forget to block him a whole bunch of time. Speed, speed, speed.
Bull rushing the tackles and TE’s is also awesome. Hips are exquisite.
First hudl I've watched in ages. Hot damn.
LB or Budda. Whatever, man.
visor on the table!
We gonna get Daylon McCutcheon and Rodney Sermons’ sons?
Does Sirr Parker have a kid somewhere?🤷♂️🤔🤔
technically not WTE
Norvell is a real mf and a dang alright coach. My Pack admin really fucked this all up.
visor baby!
my precious?
Smigiel has the worst QB aura since JT Daniels. Awful name. When was the last time we had a WWR? Bruns? Last one that actually played Elstrom?
