My sources tell me that Franklin held back on defense in anticipation of a rematch with Oregon.
Soon enough, coaches will figure out that resting players during CCG week, when a berth is already guaranteed, is the way to manage things. Ducks being clear of everyone else by 2 games would still get a first round bye if they lose a game playing all of their backups.
