Transfer portal 2023 & 2024

Again, this is just speculation, and I'm not sure what criteria doogpound uses, but Holmes has jumped in the portal twice under Fisch
-
That'd be great if Armon can get healthy since we need the depth at DT, but he hasn't been healthy since he tore his ACL in 2022
-
-
Holtzclaw had alot of opportunities to shine in the last half of the season and made a few good plays, but otherwise looks like JAG.
-
Seemed like a good guy though somewhat of a pass-rush specialist and probably a better fit for the MWC where the OLs aren't as big / physical.
That may also indicate they think Durfee will be coming back and may finally be able to get healthy while Isiah Ward and Deuce Davis will be the other top DEs along with Jayden Wayne and maybe a portal guy rounding out the rotation. I definitely didn't see LH being in the two-deeps despite being a RS-JR next year.
If no one else transfers, only 5 guys will be left from the 2022 class (and only 2 from the 2021 class).

I'm
alittlevery worried the coaching also sucks at edge seeing as there seemed to be 4-5 guys with potential coming into the season and very little to show for it -
Too bad he couldn't get bigger.
-
A few good memories for a guy who barely got any snaps:
- Big sack at a huge moment in an Apple Cup to get to 12-0
- Blocking the FG against Rutgers disaster
- The closing pressure/sack to beat USC this year
He seemed like a genuinely funny dude when he popped up on UW football social media too.
-
I think there may be as many or more 2022 kids from Arizona on the roster as 2022 UW kids soon.
-
I forgot about Jacob Lane, he was also in the rotation and will be a true JR next year.
-
so you’re telling me that going to Kansas over udub didn’t work out… I’m shocked.
-
This year's edge play was frustrating to watch. Kaufusi hasn't impressed thus far, and though a few of our DL recruits look somewhat promising, we weren't in realistic contention for any big fish. Caleb Smith is a head scratcher; looks like another JAG'y Anthony James.
We need a portal stud at DE and DT, minimum.
-
Kaufusi is probably #1 on my list of coaches to improve upon in terms of seeing how 2025 goes. I'm sure Chun would give the go ahead to boost the salary there to get a killer.
-
Kaufusi is probably why we've picked up some of the poly linemen on both sides. The Kaufusi's, even the one that tried to murder Keith Price in the bowl game, are very well connected, huge family with a lot of connections, especially in Utah where more talent is being produced per capita than WA.
-
What Poly recruits has he brought in on the DL?
-
I understand the angst but this dude was given a second team all BigSky DT, a converted OG and Bandes. Durfee and Davis couldn’t stay healthy, Wayne and Lane are young and Voi is best suited inside but had to moonlight at the edge because of lack of production. Trice didn’t really flash until his redshirt junior year. Next year will be telling on whether Kafusi can develop the players that are here. These young guys on the edge should be ready to pop if he can. He needs portal DTs because you can’t bank on the Parkers. Davis flashed a bit, Kahn should be in the rotation but they need upper class, front line starters badly.
-
That's fair and I should reiterate that I wasn't calling for him to be replaced after this season. He definitely needs portal help so as not to rely on the coming-off-injury Parker twins, RS-Soph Elinneus Davis (who I like a lot) and RS-Frosh Khan. Bryce Butler may also be ready to contribute more in 2025.
-
Ok well if they didn't have any talent then we should go after whoever's responsibility it is to coach them up or recruit the portal for better talent. Ope
-
Is the Kaufusi Advisory Council lurking on this board or something. I didn't see anything promising out of that unit at all this year and nothing recruiting this year or next year either.
-
Speaking of Butler, he played great against UCLA and then didn't show up for the Oregon game. Strange situation with him this year.
The development of Butler, E. Davis and Wayne next year should indicate whether Kaufusi can develop his guys, because there's plenty to work with there.
-
Two top 300 Edge players in state next year. If he can’t reel in those guys then he’s a poor recruiter. Macon is essentially a recruiting clone of Kahn. Undefeated HS wrestler. Not sure if that’s good or not. The Big10 is full of developmental DTs from the Deep South. Sometimes they pop, sometimes they don’t. Get these kids in here and get in the program before I shit on his evaluations. No one was stoked that Choate flipped Gaines from Boise and he turned out okay. As far as development, E Davis looked like a promising RS freshman, Bandes has been developed by four staffs, he sucks. Valdez is a near finished product. Not sure how good Kafusi can make him in a few months. Parker looked like the best DT on the team before he went down. That was a big loss. Wayne and Lane are 19. Like I said, Trice was 21 before he made an impact. Here’s some scrap iron and a few nuts and bolts, make me a tank. No? Okay you suck.

first and wrong?
-
No, my son is also named Christian Williams
-
Will Reed - OL from Princeton (Eastside Catholic) could be an easy, home-bound-snag for UW.
Silver - DT from Kentucky?
Dane Key - WR from Kentucky could be a 3rd round NFL draft pick this next draft.
Interesting portals: -
Dane Key is from Lexington. He’s looked good in the couple of UK games I watched this year.

What's the going rate for a hall of fame guy like Buck?
-
Yet another WTE prospect
-
can we? just have a BTE for once?
