Yeah it still pisses me off what they did to him then. But this is more than anonymous links... If he was clean, he wouldn't have dropped out an hour after CNN called him about a report they were going to release...
I think goduckies was hoping that Trump mumbled, "I quit, I quit, I quit" after getting shot due to the dementia patient's DEI Secret Service initiatives. Certainly don't want to cause more hard feelings by winning the election.
Not at all... I just want him to put up candidates for major spots that don't have major issues... Bondi would have been fine in the first place... no need for the Gaetz own goal.
Goduckies is correct. People here acting like Gaetz was the chosen one or something. There are many others who can do the job the right way and execute Trump's agenda without his problems attached at the hip.
The fact that Gaetz is not going to head back in as an elected Congressman, or accept a Senate appointment, is also fairly telling.
We weren't acting as if he was the chosen one. But caving on unsubstantiated allegations which will happen for almost any major Trump appointment is unacceptable. When Tampon Tim and Pedo Pete had much more serious allegations which weren't investigated by any police authority then I'm not caving when the Gaetz was thoroughly investigated and the corrupt DOJ couldn't even bring an indictment then that's my line in the sand. We don't need another Jeff Sessions who caved on nothing.
The authorities aren’t convinced they can prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt is Gasbag’s line in the sand. I knew that, of course. But I hadn’t expected an admission.
You don't seem to. You believe in democratic lawfare as a winning solution while our RINOs in the Senate roll over and want the dems to scratch their bellies.
The burden of proof required for such a case is high, especially for a rich pampered pretty boy son of a bigshot Florida state senator. Gaetz has always slid on his transgressions. DUIs, etc. The DoJ decided not to pursue this sexual abuse case they reviewed for years. Okay. That doesn't mean shit, and it doesn't mean there isn't evidence of wrongdoing and a background.
If not having convicted sex crimes on our record was the only hurdle we needed to pass to be attorney general, most of us could be attorney general. Most.
The burden of proof for rejecting nominees to the most important jobs on the globe is much lower. These aren't WalMart janitors. Why even have ethics investigations, confirmation hearings, elaborate vetting processes, interviews, and Senate votes? These positions, especially ones like Attorney General and Secretary of Defense, aren't a right for anyone. We elect representatives to vet these nominees. It's a huge responsibility, and it's a key function of the job. The president doesn't have the only say in the matter, although he clearly would love to. Ideally these positions are apolitical and filled with trustworthy, qualified individuals who serve the country, improve their departments, and advise the president, not kiss the ring and obey, no questions asked. People who are extensively vetted, voted on, and elected by the senate to serve. There should be no shred of doubt as to someone's motivations, abilities, and trustworthiness when a person is filling these positions. That is the faith we put in our representatives when we elect them, to vet nominees and hire the best ones.
If a nominee's background is shit and they're unqualified and they suck and can't get confirmed, too fuckin' bad. Do better next time and don't nominate unqualified, warped, ethically unbound toadies who will do your bidding into the most important positions on the globe.
I believe that if you are already involved in said litigation that i would hope any president would avoid you until after it is complete...there are plenty of other candidates out there... but yes the Democratic smear tactics after the fact are pure crap.

Definitely not… I'm glad he put Bondi in who doesn't have the baggage that Gaetz does at the spot....
You Need the new AG out fighting for your ideas like Homan is.... not trying to fight for their political life... fake issues or not.

I believe in the American system of justice. I probably wouldn't have Gaetz over for dinner cause he's a lawyer fir one thing and he does seem weird
But continuing to let the democrats and McConnell smear as usual is not a winning strategy
As you see the rest of the nominees are getting the business too. Big surprise
And the uniparty cheers
Not what I voted for
At least we can trust the FBI
not one democrat voted against any Biden appointee
but by all means let's play by their rules
I believe in the American system of justice too... doesn't mean i want him as AG
The authorities aren’t convinced they can prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt is Gasbag’s line in the sand. I knew that, of course. But I hadn’t expected an admission.
Shut up
your best poast ever
You should be disbarred but you're obviously not a lawyer
Guilt by accusation is not the American way
For commies like you it's business as usual
You don't seem to. You believe in democratic lawfare as a winning solution while our RINOs in the Senate roll over and want the dems to scratch their bellies.
Not quite indicted is a good character reference for Race.
It's our justice system
Sorry if that offends you
Our system requires us to make a guy AG if he hasn't been indicted. EVERYONE knows that!

Not hard to tell what's goin on around here.

Another word salad from the party that won't hold criminals in jail or deport rapists and murderers
