UW is #17:
I was told having good opponents at home doesn't help by the neighborhood flock
I still can’t wrap my head around bragging about losing.
No one is bragging about losing
Then what are you doing?
SOS battles are for undefeated and one loss teams.
I am. Losing builds character. Without character, we are nothing.
Pointing out Oregon's favorable schedule versus UW's insane one
Losers
Lose
No. 17 is "insane."
The worse you are the harder your schedule. 101 basic loser stuff
Not a lot of talk about strength of schedule when the shitty coach was going 25 and 3
Insane schedule?????
Very cool. Now what?
An insane schedule was 2007… 1994…
This might be the pussiest post ever on this bored. Stop it.
Its pretty hard to have a more difficult conference slate away from home than UW has this year.
Georgia does. Who else?
This!!
Give Oregon five losses
Losses to:
Ohio State
Illinois
Boise State
at Wisconsin
at Michigan
I'd be willing to bet, their SOS goes from 39 to somewhere in the mid 20's. The difference isn't as much as doogs claim.
I would listen to a little bit of SOS talk had UW had three loses. But when you blow games against a glorified G5 school (WSU) and fucking Rutgers of all teams, you have no room to talk. Yes WSU's team stayed pretty much intact. I don't fucking care. They got their doors blown off against Boise State and lost to fucking New Mexico.
I don't care we lost to Penn St I care that we lost to Butgers
Man, sometimes talking to you guys is like talking to a brick fucking wall.
UW has an insanely difficult conference road slate this year.
@ #1
@ #4
@ #5
One loss between those teams (to #3)
@ Iowa which is always tuff.
@ Rutgers in their Friday night blackout was the easiest road conference game.
Why people are up in arms about pointing this out, I don't fucing know.
I was pointing out that Oregon was in a dogfight at 5-5 Wisconsin. Same Wisconsin team that last at Rutgers.
Road games against even mid competition in this conference is hard as fuck.
Hope this helps, but I'm sure many still don't understand
You absolutely lose the plot talking up the Rutgers game. Trim the fat and you have something to discuss
Early this season PGOS was saying how every team UW was going to play sucked. Especially Iowa and Indiana
Now it's the hardest gauntlet since The Gauntlet
That is the easiest road game in conference for UW, and at the time they were hyped up and 4-0.
UW still faceplanted and should have won. But point being, there wasn't an @ Purdue type game for UW this year.
That would typically be Indiana who is 10-0 lol
I don't think anyone is saying the schedule wasn't difficult. Insane is a bit extreme, though. And perhaps if it didn't sound like just another sorry-ass-lame excuse, which it does, that would help too.
No one respects the excuse makers. Even if there is a ring of truth to the excuse. Just play the damn games.
The other aspect is, even if the schedule is "insanely difficult," how about showing up for the games and giving a damn when you play? UW curled up in the fetal position and quit against Penn State and Iowa, and there was some give-up against Indiana, too. This team is full of too many pussies who give up at the first sign of adversity. Maybe if they played every game like they did last Friday the schedule excuse would mean something. Maybe.
UW is jekyll and hyde right now home versus away.
The easy matchups being at home exacerbates that even more.
Next year's schedule is much more manageable away from home, and it's year two for Fisch.
Results akin to this season will equal tarmac
I predicted 8-4 and didn't see Indiana being this good. No one did. A solid squad sure, but not undefeated
I saw it
got any receipts?
I think people thought they would be much improved, but not top 10
8-5 is still alive!
Also, my point that Oregon struggled as badly as they did against Wisconsin was to point out that they benefited from a soft road slate this year. Good thing they didn't play Idaho at the Kibbie Dome since that was a barn burner in Autzen.
The usual Quooks freaked out about that, and the nega doogs allied with the Quooks.
Only reason UW got brought up at all was to point out 3 of the 5 road games for UW was against top 5 teams with 1 fucking loss. I said Oregon would likely lose at both Penn State and Indiana, maybe even Iowa.
Queue Seaver and DTD getting butthurt.
Now we're talking!
Oregon doesn't want to see Demond's skwaaa after a bye. They just don't.
I think Oregon beats Indiana and Iowa anywhere. The Wisconsin game was like several of UW's "gritty" performances last year. Just win baby. Lanning gets it now.
Not sure Oregon would win at Penn State it it were the same circumstances UW had, though. Coming off the loss to Ohio State, that was going to be tough for any team. Even for an insurance salesmen-led Bammer.
All over the board. I watched them curb stomp Ucla in September
