Can I tell PooPoo to LEAVE and FUCK OFF? Between a long history of shitty out of state recruiting and his abortion of a job on special teams I’m over his second chance at UW.
Do you really think we lost Ploog because PaoPao can’t recruit?
I’ll give you two far better and more realistic reasons we lost him:
Ploog views Oregon as a program that will be in the CFP each year that he’s there and will be joining the favorite to win this year versus joining UW where the earliest we’ll be a CFP program is 2026 … said differently it’s easier being a front runner than being a leader in a rebuild (not uncommon for this era of CFB player)
UW has a history of paying well in NIL for established players but to date has yet to show the ability to pay well for HS recruits … I can dive deeper on this but there’s tons of evidence to support this
If Fisch is set on rebuilding through HS recruiting then UW’s NIL approach needs to be amended to support it. When UW is poised to lose its top 2 offensive recruits and both of them are at positions of need … that would tell me that UW’s NIL approach may not be adjusting sufficiently enough
Even if UW offered $11 million or $12 million, Alabama would have matched it. And you don't hire SEC super agent Jimmy Sexton to sign an extension and stay in the PNW.
Do we know if UW is low in NIL in this particular situation? There's a lot of reasons for a recruit like Ploog to take the Oregon route here so I would think you would have to be willing to outbid them significantly (not easy) here. Being part of a rebuild has always been a bit of a tougher sell and now you throw in another program can pay you more or even the same and it makes that an almost impossible sell unless the guy has some connection to the program.
It's still the wild west and Phil Knight is willing to outspend anyone. IIRC, the House settlement doesn't come into play until next year and part of that is a 3rd party commission to analyze / vet NIL deals to see if they are actually what the market will actually play. Until the new rules come into place, Knight can pay recruits as much as he wants. Even if UW was willing to pay him, say, $500k as soon as he signed a deal, Knight would beat it by 50-100%.
If there's a silver lining, it's that this is as bad as NIL will get since there aren't rules yet. We can only hope that the new rules will not allow them to pay top dollar for so many portal players and recruits.

Sounds like you're just here to beat your chest.
PLOOG!
PLOOG!
PLOOG!
I’m kinda disappointed that he’s officially decommitted and I haven’t seen people here telling him to LEAVE or to FUCK OFF
This place is getting soft

Fisch is a great recruiter

So it goes…
Can you help explain what recruiting means anymore?
I guarantee whatever you come up with makes more sense than your arguments of how UW dropped the ball on DeBoer
UW dropped the ball, fumbled it, and kicked it.
This is what you get
Enjoy
As usual … pointing the finger without substance
There is literally zero indication that DeBoer was open to staying or signing an extension
That's on UW
You'll never get it. Neither will UW
I completely get it
You’re operating under assumptions that aren’t in play
Pay DeBoer more … sure that sounds great
Was the money there to do that?
UW doesn’t have unlimited resources

Just shocked. I'm stunned that Fisch blew this. Good thing I'm sitting down.
Can't wait to hear more excuses about it UW's NIL in the next press conference.
Probably gotta win some recruiting battles you're not supposed to if you're going to take it to the next level and build through high school.
Which means you're going to have to prioritize some NIL dollars for players that have yet to prove it through production
That's something that to my best knowledge UW has yet to do as of yet
Ploog is too young for Fisch. And too small.

there is no clearing house for a professional athlete to justify their nil. this seems destined for further litigation.
