This is anecdotal Twitter guy stuff but I do remember it specifically being about the rain and not the cold. For example, playing last year's Oregon State game in the monsoon or the off and on again showers like I think there was against Cal, ASU, and Utah last year and wet air versus the 2022 Apple Cup where it's just cold but dry. The cold/snow midwest weather stuff I think also gets overplayed in college because the seasons are over in November and Octobers and early Novembers there are actually more friendly weather wise than the Northwest.

Yes and you know what I'm saying. Being cold is different than being cold and wet, which sucks but is a right of passage for football in this region.

Jalynn Polk could literally not catch a pass in the rain at Oregon State, which is another reason that game was so close.
