Coleman coming back?

Coleman is way better than Johnson. Loved Johnson, but he is way slower with less burst. No wiggle. Just drove the tackler back for an extra yard or two and was a good pass blocker.
Coleman has burst, can make a guy miss and breaks a ton of tackles. He will play in the nfl. Johnson will be lucky to get a carry.

Gaskin would have played twice as many snaps

Dude Johnson housed it multiple times last year from 40+ yards out.
Coleman has yet to meet an LB or secondary player who can't run him down.
Coleman is a tank, but Johnson was much faster
If Coleman was a tiny bit faster we actually beat Rutgers because he had 2 break away runs I thought were for sure gone and he got caught. @WoolleyDoog and I said game over in the thread because we got into the red zone which is a bust 81% of the time

I'd guess Coleman is about 4.55 forty yard dash guy. He's not slow and does have very good acceleration and vision. If he can get down to 4.45 to 4.5 and prove he can carry the ball 15-20 times a game week in and week out, a RB hungry team could take him in the late 2nd or 3rd.

There is no chance in hell Coleman is any faster than 4.6 in a legit 40
He has quickness but he isn't fast

Gaskin was amazing and spends more time on the practice squad in the NFL than the active roster. In six years he's made $6.6 million (assuming he finishes this year on the active roster). $2.5 of that was 2022, otherwise he's made less than $1 million every season.
I love Coleman but he doesn't have any huge NFL buzz and I don't think he's going to blow away the combine. He's definitely the kind of guy who could make more in college than his rookie year. Feels like a guy who could get $1 million in NIL next year. -
I agree about Coleman at the combine but if he can stay healthy and run faster than a 4.6, he should go in the 5th or earlier which would put him in the $1 to $1.25 million range per year if he went in the 5th. Maybe UW would be willing to pony up $1.5 because defending Coleman and Williams next year would be a nightmare in the RPO game for LBs.

Everyone gotta chill. He's actually in the perfect window of cleary being very good but definitely not of interest to the NFL this year. Look forward to him running with Demond and Muhammed next year

5th round picks typically are not on the active roster consistently for the most part. Unless you hate school, take the college bag.

I'd love for him to come back and get guaranteed money via NIL. He's a great RB.
