4-3 Jethro may be 4-8 Jethro. IMO he has had "the more talented" team in all games this season except for Iowa. That won't be anywhere near the case @Indiana, @Penn State and @Oregon, all of which are now looking like righteous plungerings. Going full retard against Rutgers and WSU is inexcusable. He'll probably do the same against USC and UCLA. 4-8 really is in play.
The season wouldn’t be over right now if DeBoer was still here. Imagine not being incensed by the way he was treated by the AD after what he accomplished. Low balling an all time great UW coach. Couldn’t be us!
I don’t think we can say the early resume at Bammer is irrelevant though.
Look, I don’t know if UW even has $15 million for a coach. But if we do, I suspect we can’t afford miss on that. The guy better be infallible and with no possibility of being a one hit wonder. In other words, Don James and not Rick.
I don’t think DeBoer = Rick, but the early results at another school without BPE, at least, merit considering whether he’s $15 million material.
Fortune may favor the brave and stuff but UW has less margin for error than Bammer.
Ty Simpson was a very highly touted recruit and more of a pocket passer. Austin Mack could be very good, he's a RS-Frosh for Alabama now. Simpson (and maybe Mack) could get some PT if Milroe continues to struggle in DeBoer's offense.
As I understand it, DeBoer's offense isn't easy due to so many pre-snap reads and then adjusting on the fly based off of coverage (receivers have option routes). Milroe is more of an RPO guy who is better off making 1 read or max 2 so he may be thinking too much.
I think he’s a little overrated by some here in that UW never blew anyone out under him which would have concerned me as a fan. Luckiest very good team I’ve seen in that league since 2001 Oregon.
But you would be 7-0 if he was still here without any luck at all.
Now you're most likely in the wilderness with a guy who’s giving you the old bait and switch talking about Oregon and OSUs roster after getting bludgeoned to death by Iowa.
Comments
What matters is what he did here and where this team is if he and the players stayed. That is what the AD had to know and get done
It is completely Dawgman to chirp about Bama when 4-3 Jethro has shit the bed against shitty teams

Just like DeBoer is 7-0 now?
I'm a Washington fan. I really don't give a fuck about your Bama team Kim

Biggest fuck up since August 1993
DeObsessed
The obsessed people are starting threads every week rooting against DeBoer just because he wanted to feed his family.

It's monopoly money. You guys act like it's your family budget
Cope harder
What matters is what he did here. You keep him since most coaches suck and you have one that doesn't
6-0 against Lanning sark and Kirby
What the fuck has Jethro ever done?
he was good but question remains: can you fuck without your Penix? can you conquer without Rome?
also, owen against Vandy. Ouch.
It was worth it to find out especially when the odds are heavily towards yes
Results matter. Doogs have been downplaying wins and excusing losses since they supported firing Rick in June and then sucked off Gilby and Ty
They still walk among us
I agree. We? Should have opened the wallet and made him say no.

The Dillon Gabriel special.

You pay to find out. If he turns into Gene Chislek you fire him
There are billions of dollars floating around the game now. 15 million is a bargain if he keeps winning at 90 percent
Pro tip for my doogs- no coach never loses a game. So that really isn't how you judge
14-1 was the most snail on a razors edge season of my life time and I was grateful to have it.
It is really hard to win 14 straight in season
Or
It's hard
