Hall of Famer Rickey Henderson throws out the first pitch before today's A's-Mariners game

I always think about a Henderson story from when he played for the Ms. He noted that Olerud wore a helmet on the field, during batting practice iirc. He asked him about it and Olerud told him he had a plate in his head that had to be protected. Henderson said "I'll be damned. I played with a guy in Toronto who did that".

The guy he was thinking of was John Olerud, of course.
