Fisch tried to look on the bright side. The Huskies came this far and played a good team until the final second, he said. They moved the ball. They got stops.
“I think our guys gained confidence,” Fisch said.
Sark would get blown out on the road and wouldn't make it close, so there is that
I’m surprised Kim hasn’t suggested yet that Sark would have this team at 5-0. in his heart of hearts, of course
this is very bad. Fuck.
Gross is a reflection of this team. When Dawgs were clutch last year, playing fast and loose, and had shit on the line, he was waxing FG's. We have now entered the pull his scholarship era.
finkle is einhorn
Fisch just needs Rogers to go out there and let it rip.
What's the batting average of when they actually throw downfield? Maybe they're shocking opponents so much when they do it but fuck it seems like they're doing really well at hitting big passes when they try and don't throw 3 yard routes.
Yup. The offense needs to be more aggressive and less dink and dunk
Sark might have found us a QB
And then lost by 21+ to Arizona State on the road
Disagree…completely different kind of f*ckups. Sark didn’t give a shite about defense…we have a surprisingly good one.
Fisch is just absolutely retarded when it comes to offense…as much as he preaches his pro-style crap he doesn’t have a clue what to do when he has a normal competent QB and not a mobile one. And he thinks he is way smarter than he is actually is, which is why he’s doing these crazy substitution patterns and calling stupid plays at weird times. And the discipline thing who know…scary that a continuously drunk Sark can somehow have a more disciplined team then Fisch.
This year is lost…only hope is that he either gives up play calling which will never happen or next year when he finally gets a QB that fits the only thing he knows how to do it might improve.
Fisch needs to be Rick and scrap the faggot NFL offense and tailor a running attack around Williams
Like Rick did with Tui after losing to Air Force and BYU
It doesn't matter what the fuck the offense does if they give up a drive altering personal foul every quarter
Agreed he needs to run Coleman and friends more, though. We have no idea what Demond even is as a player because they don't throw over 10 yards with him in the game, ever.
Fisch needs to use Coleman every down in the red zone.
It's their best shot. The passing game is probably the worst red zone passing game I've ever seen. Like half of the passes don't even end up having even a shot to be caught.
Need more quick pitches to Coleman and Davis
Grubb did it all the time and ran all over teams.
Everything in the run game is slow developing.
The running game works best with Williams
Fisch needs to man up and do it
Excuses are for losers. Loser
The true freshman savior QB is for doogs. Doogy
I'd rather Demond come in during the 4th quarter when a non-penalty infested team is in control of the game.
Feeding him to the wolves of our upcoming schedule as a true frosh is a miss.
You should watch the games loser
No one is talking about a savior
It's what's best for the program now and in the future
Rogers is a limp dick choker. Then again so is Fisch
Doog
I will say, if UW is 3-4 or 4-6 in the next few weeks, sure go ahead and put Demond in.
Not yet at that point
Right. Tell us again how easy Rutgers is to beat you fucking moron
They were pretty easy and paper soft on defense.
Fisch playcalling and penalties lost them the game, not Rogers who threw for 300 and 2 tds
Throwing the ball 10 yards over the receiver on 3rd and 4th down is special
He might be. Too early to tell.
Fisch was 1-11 and 5-7 his first two years at Arizona. Year 3 their only 3 losses were by 7 to UW and then twice in OT on the road to Miss St and USC.
Beginning of first year they lost at home to Northern Arizona. End of his third year they were one of the best teams in the country.
The two losses this year have been frustrating, as we continually sabotaged ourselves with undisciplined play and poor play calling in clutch moments. But I think it too early to tell what the end result will be. He seems to be the type of guy who looks at things long term instead of right now, which can also be frustrating too us fans. I don't think he really cares too deeply what happens this year from a W/L standpoint.
The one on the first drive was awful. It's fourth down and an interception there is actually better than an incompletion unless the guy returns it past the LOS (which is unlikely) and didn't even give the WR a shot at all.
Also, has there even a WR more skilled at getting a DB to make contact half a second before the ball gets there than Boston who never gets a fucking PI? None have been blatant but fuck me how has one not gotten a flag?
I expected a lot more out of a QB when under pressure coming from the SEC. This guy shits himself and throws it into the ground if there's any semblance of pressure. Including on 3rd down, when you can't even chalk it up as the "smart play".
He's been much better at getting out of sacks than I would have thought in the games that have mattered but way worse at making just general throws than I would've thought. I also think he's programmed for the Leach offense of endless short passes and it's killing them. Also might be too scared of throwing a pick.
Agreed. If he just hits the checkdown it is a huge play as he was completely uncovered. But he throws it into an impossible situation instead.
