Not what we bargained for

This was supposed to be a no talent well coached team. Instead we got a team loaded with talent that is coached by a retard in a visor. He really is Sark.

So much for trying to save $3m a year on deboer.
fuck this school.
-
What's absolutely maddening is the schemes/play designs are generally good, and we've seen improvement from a lot of individual players.
Insane lack of discipline, terrible high leverage play calling, moronic game management and timeout usage. We would be 5-0 if Fisch didn't throw away timeouts before failed 4th downs.
-
I won’t call him Sark until we lose by a margin of 30+.
-
Next week?
-
And a 7 year $50m contract with 85% buyout.
-
We didn’t lose DeBoer over $3mil
-
I still don't understand and never will why we? hired a tennis player who never got into a uniform and a 3 point stance.
Staff?
-
no shit.
the fact is washington didn't even try to make him the highest paid coach.
want to win championships?
pay championship money not some top 25 bullshit $5-7m contracts and hope to stay relevant.
but no, the upper campus didn't want to be serious in football and when bama came calling, we didn't stand a chance.
not even a fight.
the dude just wanted to win and he didn't see that with our program.
-
Rutgers has no QB.
That’s the post.
Nah there’s more. Michigan doesn’t either but will no doubt run for 300 hashes against the Dawg defense.
Fisch really had no pressure at Arizona. They had been horrible for almost a decade. And He caught fire with some great croots and better assistants than He has now. And they had a great 2/3 of a Season last year. Fast fwd to taking over for a coach that lost 3 games in 2 years. It’s different.
-
wait for whoregon
-
Oh believe me, that's coming
-
When exactly do you make DeBoer a $12 or $13 million a year guy ? He wasn’t that guy before the 2023 Apple Cup won by a c-hair. DeBoer was a snail riding a razors edge at Uw.
-
willing to say worse than sark
-
@kaepsknee you talk a lot when UW loses. Fuck off and go hang with your cuog bitches.
-
Actually, I would say beating Texas (yeah, Sark, but still) in the Alamo, two wins over Oregon, and riding a 18 game winning streak or whatever it was should've been a pretty good indicator. And that was before the C hair Apple Cup.
-
Felt like it was very close to coming but Rutgers' offense was just too lame and the defense didn't quit.
-
I didn’t say shit when we beat you this year.
But I’m here for it all now. So buckle up buttercup.
You’re Minnesota now. And have lost a ton of crootin’ advantages that you had before in the PAC 12. Those 35,000 filled home games are gonna be special come 2025.
-
have a field day fuck face
-
it’s gonna be a field decade.
-
I honestly don't think making him a $12 or $13 million guy does it. He knew this year was going to be a massive challenge no matter what or slide over to Alabama and have things set up for you. The whole "who wants to follow Saban?" stuff was BS. I want to follow Saban. Nothing is easier than taking over a humming program.
My only hope was Dannen said some BS about they were changing the game with his contract or something and I thought maybe they had some insane equity deal with him.
-
Actually not @BleachedAnusDawg
You don’t go hard at DeBoer with the big bucks until he wins the Pac. he’s not the guy pre 2023 Apple Cup.
to say otherwise is revisionist history
-
well, you would know what it’s like to be a fucking loser, I’ll give you that
-
Was $8.7m before the Apple cup and $9.4m after the Sugar Bowl for top 8 in public institutions for a coach that just landed us to the national championship game enough?
I would like to think Washington has more resources to go all-in on a coach that's gone 24-2 to that point and were pretty confident we would win the title come Monday.
Instead, we offered $7.75m to fucking fisch — $1.7m less than our best offer to deboer.
Hell yes, you offer that $13m or better to make him the most paid guy that just took us to the national championship game in his year 2 for the first time since 33 years when they offered him after Sugar Bowl win.
I would think he's earned it for whatever the year of contract that would be whether he fails or not for the rest of his contract.
33 fucking years man since we last played for the national title.
-
This is fair, but he might still have left for Bama
-
boner didnt want to be here.
-
Seriously, somehow strip away football or fandom and shit and would any of you outside of having a Doog heart or your wife and kids ultimatuming you and turned down Alabama in his situation? I think he's a really good coach but he also got a situation of a bunch of incredible Petersen players who were some of the last actual dudes playing college football (unfortunately Michigan had more) and a QB who turned out to be incredible and they were all leaving. Meanwhile Bama has a Bama roster and outside of maybe 1-3 teams everyone else sucks for the near future compared to you without even trying?
-
After going 6-7 this year, what will be the compelling reason for a highly ranked recruit to choose Wash now?
Given your move to the Big 10, you are now the 4th choice for any West Coast recruit to go to the Big 10.Or are you gonna get some try hards from Piscataway, Champaign or East Lansing areas.
Your NIL will dry up in the desert without contending seasons. And then you’re gonna be Rutge…. Oh. Nvm
-
It could be worse. Wilcocks called a timeout on 4th down and then punted.
-
Dannen said he offered $9.4 after Sugar Bowl but because Sexton didn't counter it, he knew something was up and spoke with Petersen for possible replacement.
Either we don't have the resources to make him most paid coach at that point in which Kirby Smart was for $13m or we didn't want to, I would think it's latter and that's what pisses me off because we didn't even try/want.
-
Of course, the fact is we didn't try our best.
$9.4m a year to a coach that took us to the national title game since Don James is really something.
