agree with all of this except the 'quasi mtn west team,' mtn west dont even want em around next year. i dont think i even posted about it here, they're in a lot of trouble.
imagine getting told 'its not you, its me' by the mtn west.

The Mt West doesn’t want to be anyone’s second choice. No one does. Cougs are dating the MW now but won’t commit long term because they’re hoping that someone hotter will call them back. WSU isn’t willing to admit that they’re a 5. They were married to an 8 for years and that gave them an over inflated view of themselves but their 8 died suddenly. Now they’re dating a cool and awesome 5. A 5 they have everything in common with, but they can’t commit. They strung the 5 along in hopes that the 7 who hates them will pick up the phone and finally call them back. Now because of having constant wandering eyes the 5 hates them too and wants them to leave but they share a lease on an apartment for a few more months. Nice work Kewgs, you’re almost a single cat lady. Maybe a 4 like the AAC will call before it’s too late.

can’t wait until they become Idaho’s main rival and redheaded bastard stepchild

This hits a little too close to home for me. Not sure I want to poast here anymore

they need to drop down to FCS and play eastern, montana, montana state, and idaho. theyre gonna get fucked on tv revenue but theyre already beyond fucked with their debt holdings. at least playing those teams will have people in the seats and create 'buzz.'
theres gonna be like 10 people in the stands when hawaii and wyoming come to town.

They’ll end up in the Big 12. The San Jose States of the world will be the progrums that drop down. Wazzu is too big for FCS ball.

Just wait until Dan gets his guys in there.

Has the whole wait till he gets his guys in there mantra ever been true in the modern era. I was even thinking Petersen, but the truth was once Petersen lost his Sark guys the teams lost their edge and became too much like him.
-
Not a lot of Sark guys were big contributors in 2016.
Petersen took UW about as far as it was going to go under the old rules. Petersen put together great teams but ran into 11-1 Bama, 10-2 Penn State with losses by 4 points, and 11-1 Ohio State.
Should he have gone at least 1-2 and not 0-3? Yes. Were those some of the hardest matchups he could have drawn? Yes. That Penn State game was winnable.
There was no 8-4 Purdue to smoke in the Rose Bowl.
I've said it before but I'll continue to beat the dead horse. The portal is a game changer for UW.
