The 2024 Apple Cup will be played in Seattle in September. Here's why

I guess we'll see if UW hired a sentimental sap for AD or a guy who can be cutthroat when necessary.

Correct, truly a lose-lose proposition. I got the sense Dannen wanted no part of this game, but AMC thought otherwise (See Dannen intro. presser). Chun better nut up and get the remaining Cuog games off future schedules.

The only way I see the AC going away is if both parties want to exit the agreement.
As boring as Wazzu is as an opponent, they'll sell the most visitor tickets of any OOC opponent (save a few SEC schools) and they'd likely be a bigger TV audience draw unless we know we're getting a ranked P4 opponent.
Keeping the AC isn't sexy, but from a dollar perspective, it's the best ROI for UW

Sad, but true. I guess more than anything I'd rather not have to deal w/ their moronic fans anymore.
Also, there's the Pullman problem. What Husky fan is now going to travel to fucking Pullman for an OOC game w/ a non P4 program? Not me. -
At this point we? should probably take that 4 conference road game rotation and just keep those years at 4 road games. That's not going to work playing the AC and CW every year.

God what a load of snobbery.
Anyway it is no longer the apple cup but a sham summer game made to seem like the real game.
