As soon as I saw Puppy start a thread with the name Nick Cage my Sweatpants got a little tighter.

The thing with Nick Cage is he uses his role to elvate the movies. When he's in a good movie, he uses his role to make the movie better. When he's in a shitty movie, he uses his role to make the movie even shittier, often times making it more hilarious.
Look at the bee scene above. He knew the movie was shit. He didn't give a fuck. He acted as poorly as he could to make it hilarious. Same for almost all the other shit movies he's been in.
That's the thing about Cage. He's a great actor in that he makes good movies better and fucking awful movies watchable by being as bad as he can. -

He was funny as hell in Raising Arizona and definitely did an outstanding job in Leaving Las Vegas. Of course in that one I was pretty locked into Elisabeth Schue. She was smoking hot in that movie.

This is kind of my wheelhouse. Bad Lieutenant is a good movie. Lord of War is another. He has some shitty ones. I know he's not very choosy because he needs money. I think he takes almost any movie that will pay him his quote.

The fact that most of his movies don't totally suck speaks volumes, especially considering that fact that he's in 1 out of every 5 new Hollywood releases, every year, all the time. He's also smart enough to still be alive, as opposed to some critically acclaimed but now deceased junky fiend losers.
