The Offer (PM to my Godfather Higher Level Discussion Pals)
Any of my fellow members of the Godfather Higher Level Discussion Board ever what "The Offer" that was on Paramount a year or two ago. I finally binged it an enjoyed the series.
I guess for much of fan as I am of both films, I knew very little about what when into the making of The Godfather.
For example:
- How pissed off Frankie was about Johnny Fontaine in the book and subsequent movie.
- The dealings that Al Ruddy had with the Colombo family to gain their support for making the film.
- That Luca Brasi was IRL an actual mob enforcer.

Per usual, I had no idea. I will watch it.
Watching the Godfather is something I never tire of doing. I especially love the scenes from their time before they moved west. That's old school shit. This scene is movie fucking history in my book:
It's the smart move. Tessio was always smarter.

Hopefully, you got my point.

Never heard of it but I have paramount now so I'll check it out
I read the novel of Godfather before the movie came out. I was pretty young. I think Mario Puzo must of had some connections.

I think you and @creepycoug will enjoy it a lot.
Some of the history is a bit sensationalized but not that far off.

I cleaned some things up for you @creepycoug using my powers of moderation.
I got your point.
Was going my annual lap through Part II last night and I think this is arguably the greatest movie in Hardcore Husky for quotes.
You've got @RaceBannon my offer is this, nothing.gif and @creepycoug defiling the good clean cuntry of the Harb with his oily hair all in one seen.

I've watched 1 and 2 for the last time a bunch of times

Don’t we all have that problem?

The non cretins among us do.

Wait till you see how hard Francis Ford Coppola had to fight to get Al Pacino the part.
There's a reason an Italian had to be the director to get this film right.
