Last Night wasn't the First Time Sark has lost to ASU on a Hail Mary

In Derek Johnson's Sunday Night Article, he explains how the pain Trojan fans feel is something Husky fans know all too well.

I suppose you would have fired John McCay when he went 8-11-1 his first two years.
I was at that asu game,I would have fired him at the 50 when he was shaking hands with the other coach. -
I for one believe Sark is doing awesome at USC, in fact they should probably be preparing an extension now!
-
Agree, give him a ten year extension. He's the gift that keeps right on giving---to the rest of the conference.

I thought it was Nap?

Awfully bright outside for Sunday night.

I've brought this up before but I think it's worth saying again.
After UW beat BYU in last years bowl game Justin Wilcox, on his way out the door, yelled "9 wins". This probably seems like nothing to some of you but I see exactly what it is. He thought he had accomplished something. Sark, Wilcox, all those idiots (hi Tui!) thought "oh we won 9 games at Washington, we're so great". That's why I've never wavered on Sark failing miserably at USC. A lot of people have said he'll do ok there. But they don't see the little things.
The Washington coaches last year should have been pissed off. Their losses were to the best teams they played. Instead they were satisfied. This comes down from the top. And satisfied people don't work hard. They don't see their own mistakes. That's why six fucking years later Sark is losing to ASU in the exact same miserable way.
Those USC players have been through a lot. Last year was a shit show until they chose to rally behind a bad head coach in Ed Orgeron. And make no mistake, they are responsible for it, they chose it. So maybe they do that again. Or maybe they see their head coach showing up late to work. Showing up hungover and still drunk. Maybe they see the back handed quotes where Sark takes no blame. And maybe they quit on him. Either way, it'll be interesting. -

Sanctions is the new 0-12 excuse. And they will be forever young too.

At least Holt held Arizona State to 24 points. Has Wilcox ever done that?
Also Sark looked at least 40 lbs lighter then. -

I specifically heard him in his presser say he'd never been involved with a loss like that.

"You mean like the Arizona State game :-)"mobey said:I specifically heard him in his presser say he'd never been involved with a loss like that.
"Which one?"
"Exactly :-)" -
You're just looking at surface level stuff. You need to dig deeper. Sark meant that he's never been involved in a game like that while head coach of USC. Learn the difference.mobey said:I specifically heard him in his presser say he'd never been involved with a loss like that.

At least he still believes he is a great second half coach.

Yeah, tell me how this team is worse than this year's version. Ignant bitches

Maybe he only heard he's never been involved in a loss like that. -
I was there in the stadium that day. Danny Sullivan was probably the worst ASU QB of the last thirty years. Good defense but amazingly bad O-line and QB play. This last week that highlight was posted on ASU's Scout board. In his post game commnets in the loss to ASU in LA, Sark said he can't remember a loss like the Hail Mary pass by Berc to Strong? Guess he has a short memory? USC fans are in meltdown. The same people that felt it was OK to have a players' coach. In Tempe we are glad that Ericson's inmates are not running the program and the "hot chick close" is not used to get recuits to sign with ASU nowdays. Sark has never beaten ASU as a head coach. So nice to have him at USC who has lost to ASU three out of the last four years thanks to Lane and his good buddy.

Isn't it just baffling that Pat Haden hired that guy?Sundevil76 said:I was there in the stadium that day. Danny Sullivan was probably the worst ASU QB of the last thirty years. I mean really, it makes absolutely NO sense whatsoever.
Anyone on this message board could be a better AD than that guy. There has to be some kind of sexual relationship between Haden and Sark, going back to Sark's first stint at USC as an assistant.
