Power Rankings suspended. The PAC-12 sucks

Some will say, isn't this great? Look at all the offense! Look at all the parity!

Here's what I see: three schools with elite talent, USC, UCLA, and Oregon have crappy coaches.

Stanford is a solid football team that actually plays defense. But can you win with that offense this year?

And then you have good coaches, Rich Rod, Todd Graham, Riley, and maybe Leach and Dykes, who are getting more with less talent. But how do they get more - other than OSU - with flag football offenses and no defense. You put two of them on the field at the same time and it looks like a four hour 7 on 7 drill.

So how do you rank this mess? I don't know. Looks to me like anyone can beat anyone right now. And I hate that crap. USC, UCLA, and WASHINGTON should routinely crush all the little brothers in this league. I want John McKay, Terry Donahue, and Don James to come back and teach these little girls how football is supposed to be played.

Defense still wins championships. 34 teams, including Florida State, Michigan St., Alabama, Stanford, Oregon, USC, and Washington, gave up less than 300 points last year. That's less than 25 per game. Florida, State, Alabama, and Michigan State gave up less than 15 per game.

Great defense beats great offense.

But if more and more teams hire coaches like Leach and Dykes, I'm done with college football. There is a reason no one watches arena football.
