French leftists win most seats in elections, pollsters say

The Global Left rioted and threatened the electorate for the last week, and in true French fashion the voters surrendered.
“Oui oui Pierre, Macron sucks so let’s go even further Left or these rioters might come for us!”
PARIS (AP) — A coalition on the left that came together unexpectedly ahead of France’s snap elections won the most parliamentary seats in the vote, according to polling projections Sunday. The surprise projections put President Emmanuel Macron’s centrist alliance in second and the far right in third.
The lack of majority for any single alliance plunged France into political and economic turmoil. Final results are not expected until late Sunday or early Monday in the highly volatile snap election, which was called just four weeks ago in a huge gamble for Macron.
The deeply unpopular president lost control of parliament, according to the projections. Marine Le Pen’s far right drastically increased the number of seats it holds in parliament but fell far short of expectations.

it’s not working so we need to do it harder.
-
Heard there was a burst water pipe in a Lyon voting center, also something about Deux Mille Vache? I don’t speak French.
-
Your mouth is usually full so you don’t speak much of anything at all.
-
Lots of centrists root for communists. Fairly common really.
-
France is now as close to having complete Communist leadership as any other member of NATO. Time to kick them out and stop protecting them with US military resources.
-
You have to wonder when the Eastern Bloc NATO countries say “fuck it, these people are insane” and split off.
-
Far right populist bullshit is getting rejected in Western Europe by the majority and you just love to see it.
-
Ern loves communists and leftists rioting in the streets
-
The center and left are coming together to reject far right populism in Western Europe. Call anyone left of Trump whatever you want, but you are the loud minority. That's the case in Europe, and that's the case here.
It's not all bad though. You're looking good at home in this two-party electoral college and you still have Make America Hungary Again well within your sights, until Biden throws in the towel. After the GOP convention and a Trump VP pick, I wager. Harder to align those sights for the GOP after the convention and picking a VP first. Easier for the Dems before their convention and nominees. Not like I trust the Democrats to do the right thing after this debacle, but here's to hoping. It would be a savvy move, and if that was the play all along, I will tip the hat.

Big Ern is great, big, fat, and can barely move. No way he's gonna turn down that kind of help.
-
if Europe wants to destroy themselves fine by me
-
Same here but let’s stop with being their military bully and let them pay for their own defense. I’m tired of paying for the defense of countries apparently so cash-rich they can take 6 weeks off from work each year and not pay for private health insurance.
-
The election was a bit more complex and nuanced
The pro France party actually got the most votes. Macron dropped 200 races to let the commie far left parties unite to keep open borders
To be continued. Penn got more votes than ever
-
Hey Race………let's just let ern wallow in his ignorance. He provides great entertainment!
He is completely unaware of the gains by the right in France.
-
65% taxes are not enough. I don't want to work so tax the rich (and by rich I mean anyone with a job).

I love how Fern thinks the Bush/Macron deep state is conservative.
-
Things are going swimmingly in France
-
Too in the weeds for me.
-
Who else is amused by Race's sudden interest in "nuance"?
-
Who else got the joke besides H who clearly didn't?
-
Educate yourself Fern.
-
Yes, I knew the results yesterday, my guy, but thanks.
The far right may have gained some seats, but they came in 3rd place and lost. Not a great a result for someone who thought they were winning. The far right in France are losers. -
I didn't think I was winning anything you fucking moron. More projection from the dipshit that Stalin thinks is a good guy with a sense of humor. More than 200 loyalists to Macron (your globalist uniparty) resigned rather than give power to Le Plen who won overwhelmingly….but, but, but popular vote. Nevermind idiot.
-
The hell are you blathering about
-
The right got more votes and less seats
In America the left wants to eliminate the electoral college because the GOP wins the presidency without the popular vote
In France under a different system the left is fine with less votes and more seats. Its all about coalitions and Macron may still find his ass out replaced by a real communist
The people burning up Paris are centrists while the Pen party quietly accepting the results are the EXTREME FAR RIGHT. REALLY FAR MAN
Make no mistake the France First movement isn't going anywhere
-
But he's a serious rock scientist.
-
Supposedly "centrist" politicians prefer the left and communism to a republic.
Yeah, everyone in the tug is really shocked by this development.
-
Of course if you challenge the power structure, you’re fucked.
Same old fascist playbook. Prosecute your opponents into jail and/or bankruptcies.
French hard-right leader Marine Le Pen faces fraud probe for 'illegal financing
French criminal prosecutors today opened an investigation into ‘illegal financing’ by Marine Le Pen and her far-Right National Rally party.
It followed them being beaten into third place in parliamentary elections held over the weekend.
Judicial sources in Paris on Tuesday confirmed that the new criminal enquiry related to Ms Le Pen’s attempt to become President of France in 2022.
‘A judicial investigation was opened after a report to the courts from the National Commission for Campaign Accounts and Political Financing,’ said one.
The enquiry is believed to be related to the RN (for Rassemblement National – French for National Rally) allegedly wrongly using taxpayer-generated funds from the European Parliament.
Ms Le Pen is already facing a criminal sanction and a ban on standing for elected office if she is found guilty following an embezzlement trial which opens in Paris in September.
