Quote it since you claim he says it.
-
I'll get your research started. There's lots of material. Good luck.
-
This is far more likely than fever dreams about Trump from low information voters
-
I called it last week in a yet any post he never answered.
One of @CallMeBigErn’s main news sources is far, far-Left The Guardian. Can’t go much further Left than that rag. Here is where the author of that Guardian op-ed he posted is coming from in ideology.
To summarize, Muller argues that populism threatens the very basis of democracy
What Is Populism?
-
Attack the source in lieu of what it says all you want, that's not a surprise. It's a primer for DoogBot either way. He has all the material in the world to research other sources and come to his own conclusions. The Orban lust is a legitimate thing, the Trump playbook is an Orban copy, and it's happening right under our noses. Especially yours. This is what you're voting for.
-
Vanilla aids. @CallMeBigErn
Pretty big nothing burger.
LoL guardian opinion section no less. Seems like for "saying the quiet part out loud" Trump never said anything close to what you are framing it up to be.
Which side was it that's threatening Supreme Court judges in their homes again 🤔
-
Here's a good one from The Economist. Had to beat at the paywall. Luckily I'm good at that.
-
"Viktor Orban, the prime minister of Hungary, has other ideas. In the place of such strife, he and his colleagues in Fidesz, the governing party, have over the past nine years sought to align the executive, legislative and judicial powers of the state. Those branches now buttress each other and Fidesz—sometimes unobtrusively, sometimes blatantly. Mr Orban refers to the result of these efforts as the “system of national co-operation”. "
Is that like threatening to pack the court with extra appointments? Something the current administration floated to get their way.
Or signing a record number of EO in the first 100 days?
Seems like a lot of projecting going on.
-
I'm not sure what more proof you're looking for to convince you that Orban is Trump's butt buddy, and that he wants to emulate him. He says so. The policies say so, in writing. Orban spoke at CPAC. Trump had Orban to Mar-a-Lago in March. Kind of suspicious, right? There's lots of this shit out there.
Of course he can't get the country right, but that's beside the point.
-
Hungary doesn’t let the riff raff in. I know that means fascism to you though.
-
Pretty far goal Post move to literally saying destroy the constitution and institute fascism that you've drifted from.
One side actually does say the constitution is out of date and obsolete.
-
Clearly the hope is that America has the checks and balances necessary to prevent what has happened in Hungary, and it obviously wouldn't look the same, but all the hallmarks are there. A Democratic Senate and Joe Biden as president are the only thing holding it in place at this point. Trump has a party that has sworn fealty to him in fear of their own careers. The wagons have been hitched. He can do no wrong. He has a partisan Supreme Court, overruling the will of the people, in which he installed 1/3rd of the justices, he has an overruling of Chevron, giving an enormous fuck you to Americans, subject experts, non partisan public servants, and a free reign for corporations and special interest groups with funds and wherewithal to challenge well intended regulations that protect minority groups, workers, the environment, anti-fraud, the list goes on, opening up a huge lane for corruption, quid pro quo, judges ruling on shit they don't know a goddamn thing about as a final word, and congressional gridlock. It's all laid out before us. Trump wants to institute schedule F, gut the civil service, and replace them with political loyalist appointees, as Orban did. Trump instituted this already, Biden rescinded it. It's all part of the plan again. The Heritage Foundation has their mitts all around this. Orban is the model. This is what you're voting for. Trump has zero interest in law, democracy, or anyone but himself and the kleptocracy he has sought, proven, and further craves. This country doesn't deserve democracy if they don't want to protect it.
Maybe substack is more your speed. I know you like substack. Can't cry MSM here 🙄. Excellent read.
-
So what’s the problem with Orban?
.
-
I rest my case. JFC.
Also why do you do the period thing in all your posts? I've never understood.
.
-
There is a lot of blame being leveled at Biden's advisors who supervised the preparation.
It reminds me of Lambo blaming the scout team right before he was fired.
-
Biden just lost to Space Force in the Atlanta Bowl and deserves to be fired.
-
Incidentally why do you try to convert these guys to rational thinking? Arguing with Trumpsters is a lost cause.
-
Did you even watch it?
-
Why didn't Trump become a dictator last term?
Your team censored speech and spied on Americans and Trump. Burned cities, led and murdered and is now overthrowing our government with millions of criminal illegals. Keep your communism. But please go bonkers when Trump wins. The actual Americans are tired of your shit and things might not go well for your side.
-
Sure, I watched it! Fake punt and all
-
I know this, I've stated this repeatedly, it's largely a waste of time, but I saw an opening about autocracy/kleptocracy, a topic I've always been interested in, and I went for it. There's literally over 100 million Americans, maybe over 200 million, who don't understand the threat of what's happening here, or aren't aware of the machinations behind the scenes. It disgusts me. If I get one person to even consider it, or maybe set off on their own eye opening research journey, I will judge my time as well served.
-
If they don't get it by now — how will they ever? Seeing the banner of a dictator on January 6th in the Capitol, while he sat and watch on TV doing nothing. They're not going to get it, ever.
-
It should be obvious, I know. There will be no swaying of Tug diehards. There are passive observers in here though. It's an embarrassing open forum that outsiders look at and ridicule. Derek has willingly enabled a white nationalist cesspool on a UW forum, in the faux interest of anti-censorship, when it's actually his own MAGA white Christian nationalist beliefs that allow it and reinforce it, and it's consolidated into straight madness over the years. This is his playpen. A place where the worst Americans, the complete opposite of patriots, can call themselves patriots, jerk each other off, insult anyone and be proud of it, peddle falsehoods and conspiracies, create twisted realities, deny truth, and laugh about it and reinforce their brothers, without challenge, because it's consolidated into a place where no one will challenge, or even want to. It's pathetic. I don't know what motivates me to post here but it happens sometimes.
-
So the problem with Orban is your TDS. Got it. Sounds reasonable.
. -
You're going to need a shrink if this keeps up
-
Don't worry, I'll disappear on a dime. When I go, I go. When I'm out, I'm out. No half measures in this place.
-
I no longer see the point of making rational arguments since cult supporters don't respond to it. I used to try, but I've given up. If not enough people come through for old Joe, we're fucked.
-
Bullshit. You already came back once.
.
-
I maintain a shred of hope that something, anything, gets through, and I think that's why I give it a go sometimes. The Trump/Orban/Heritage Foundation shit is clear as day for anyone who looks at it with open eyes for more than a few minutes. That's all it takes. Psilocybin might help.
I understand your frustration and resignation, I get that vibe all the time when posting here. I'm mostly with you, but sometimes I crack.
-
I mean on the daily. I'm not HH, Buck, Mello. I'm not crazy. When I'm in here to make a point, I'm gonna make it with gusto, and then I'm out, hopefully for a while. But then I'll get triggered, like I have been since Thursday, and post again. Then I'll realize how much of a waste it is. This is the Big Ern Tug cycle.
