I hate to disappoint the watch excitement, but I am 99% certain that's a shitty Apple watch with an aftermarket bracelet to make it look like an integrated bracelet sports watch.
Petersen was playing the long game when he signed a very good 2019 class. Lake almost derailed it and DeBoer & co rescued it 2022 and 2023 being the best back to back seasons UW had since Don James.
What sucks is that Lake's 2021 was horrendous and 2024 is the season where the program experience it the most…along with guys who portaled out (particularly on the OL). Thankfully Huff signed a good OL class for 2023 and the OLs who portaled in are somewhat promising.
I actually think the D could be pretty good if the DTs (Bandes, Valdez, Jayvon Parker, Bryce Butler, Logan Sagapulu, DeShawn Lynch, and Elineus Davis) can perform. The Edges received an influx of proven talent and the LBs have a nice blend of experience and talent. The secondary should be solid enough.
So the way I look at this squad is that it will go as the OL goes (uneven, especially in the first half of the season / before the bye).
Afalava is announcing on Friday. Same with Dijon Lee and Josiah Sharma. ZRS announces Monday, Elijah Vaikona on Tuesday, and there are a few other visitors in July (like Rylon)
If UW wanted to compete for a championship in 2024 with no returning qb, coach, and at best two proven difference makers anywhere on the field they needed to retain Muhammad and win NIL battles for 10+ of the top 50 guys available in the portal. That’s not realistic for any program and UW is no Ohio State (of course Ohio St never would have ended up in this position to begin with.)
2023 UW’s run was magical precisely because of its elite and experienced talent at all of the most important positions. But there was never any depth as a result of recruiting misses and coaching turnover. This team was never gonna reload and run it back and DeBoer leaving made the inevitable blow up just that much larger and cleaner.
I don’t see how anyone could derive any meaningful conclusions from the Fisch era thus far. Results are basically exactly what could be expected.
id like to think this is the Desmond Williams effect. Seems like we get Lawson because whoregon is full but we’re not the bridesmaid without a baller qb waiting in the wings.
Hopefully that’ll help close some top WRs for ‘26 as well.

Afalava announces today. I’d take him over the two you’ve mentioned.
Can any of them play OL?
Ah that old chestnut
The judges give more points for degree of difficulty.

D-line needing to step up is an understatement. Tuli is gone and he’s been our biggest difference maker for 4+ years.

If we land Macon and Sharma in this class, you'll find me dooging over the Moon.
if we get Lee or Sharma I’ll go play in traffic on FB live.
Context is important.

I would add that results could have been much worse
Is there a stir in the local underwear olympics?
hole e cringe. If that’s what ya’ll think I sound like when I rant and rave I need to put a gun to my head.

Blame God!
I have a dream this Bama kid blows up Mack in the 2027 natty for a sack fumble scoop and score... for Purdue.
