seven win Steve 0-5
-
I think Neuheisel was only 2-1.
I'm not gonna shit on Sark too much since he exclusively went up against the best Oregon teams possible but he wasn't even remotely close to winning any of those and that was the problem.
Petersen sucks - he should have been 5-1. Losing in 2015 was arguably worse than 2018 and 19.
-
Which 2-4 record vs Oregon is worse, Lambo or Pete?
-
Both
But Lambo inherited a tremendous machine and crashed it
-
Yeah, pretty even and fitting they had the same record. They also both blew games they had won. Both also did it with significant advantages in NFL talent, and earlier round talent.
-
As we say, "Helfrich'd" it. errr wait, as we say "Lambo'd it."
-
Hardy har har
-
You’re lucky the dearly departed Lambo backer @puppylove_sugarsteel isn’t here to educate you on the greatness of Lambo.
-
The 2018 was a big disappointment. We were clearly better.
-
Easily the #1 game if you want to shit on Petersen. Also the scheduling of it was a good example of why to say fuck the Pac-12 when it was time.
-
Did they have a bye week beforehand, like they have half the time?
-
Yes, and on top of that, UW played at UCLA, which is a long road trip for cfb. No way a serious conference sets up a big time rivalry game like that. To prove I'm not overly doog I've gone through schedules and I think the Oregon always gets a bye before UW thing was overblown and it really just stemmed from one game in the 90s.
-
There was a time in the Paleozoic Era when Oregon hosted the game like three years in a row and something like 5 of 7 or 6 of 8 years.
-
I think the 70 game counts as two. The John Ross of rivalry games.
Oh and we didn’t want DeBoer anyways… -
Fuckin Lambo🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️

Oregon hosted the '85, '87 and '88 games at Autzen. But then when UW hosted the '89, '90 and '91 games at Husky Stadium, Rich Brooks complained about it as being unfair.
-
I know they played at Autzen in 04, 05, and 06 I think to make up for some ancient grievance. It ended up not mattering much because Washington sucked but it was weird and combined with not playing each other in 01. They played 6/8 in Eugene.
Not playing each other in 01 was another special Pac-12 thing since Oregon was the preseason conference favorite and Washington was defending champs and #2 and Oregon had to some to Seattle after being Washington's only loss in Eugene the year before. How stupid are you to not sell that game?
-
imagine Rich Brooks complaining about home schedules before Duck football was even invented!
-
And how many games were played in Portland? UW has played waaaaay more home games in the series than Oregon has.
This shit reminds me of some dumb doog bitch whining about Oregon getting a bye before UW when UW had had a bye before Oregon 3 fucking years in a row.
-
It's tru, Portland is a UW town.
-
But Oregon made that choice because Multunomah (sp?) Stadium had more capacity then than did Autzen Stadium.
-
Autzen stadium didn't exit until 1968
#smalltimers
-
I didn't know that
-
Decided to waste my time looking this up. I went all the way back to the 60s and couldn't find when UW had all these byes you were talking about.
The UW bitching about it came from a legit complaint that Oregon got byes before in 96 and 97.
Starting in the 90s here's how the byes have lined up:
Oregon: 91, 96, 97, 09, 18 and got Portland State in 06 and Colorado the week before in 19, 21, & 22 which was bullshit
Washington: 00, 05 and when Stanford and Oregon were at their peak they got Stanford the week before Oregon I think 3/4 years.
-
It's called hyperbole. Some doog a few years back was bitching that Oregon had a bye week before UW when the last 7 times or whatever one team had a bye before the game UW had 4 and Oregon had 3.
-
That's not even close to accurate. 2018 was fucked and was definitely intentional between Oregon and the conference. Still fuck Petersen for not winning that game.
-
2018 was the only year it was complained about.
-
Getting pretty sick of you guys fact checking me.
-
I like how we're moving the goalposts here to now doog about which teams Oregon played before UW. UW also had two 8 day and two 9 day prep weeks in that period. Oregon had one 8 day(I didn't look this up, I want you to). UW had the two in 00 and 05 and then some doog bitched about 2009. There, better?
UW played Pacific before Oregon in 1987! lol
And Bowling Green in 86 and 1-10 Stanford in 85!
I know I started this. Fuck the offseason.

"Getting tired of you guys fact-checking me to be honest" could fit onto a beer glass
