Washington
I'm partial to Ephrata if I'm picking desert shitholes in WA. Unlimited cutthroat up to 10lbs on fly gear. It's an ugly, crowded lake and the fish fight like boots, but they're easy to catch.

I drove by all them saltwater cutts on my way to Dry Falls Lake many a time. Never stopped to fish for them.
Dry Falls is scenic its own way.
Biggest rainbows I've ever caught in WA were in Nunnally Lake. Alas, fishing 15' leaders with chironomids (don't care about spelling) is for fags. Yawn!

Modesto would like a word.

@BearsWiin deserves our respeck and admiration for escaping Modesto to Aptos!
My kinfolk come from Turlock, CA, which ranks up there in the shithole power rankings.

Oh lord stuck in Lodi again
The family roadster spent the night in Lodi when I was a youth going to Disneyland for the first time. Before the song but once I heard it I always smiled
That was on the 99. I actually lived through the construction completion of the 5.

That central corridor of California is some of the shittiest country in the country, and at least just on the west coast. The thing is though that if you hang a left you're soon at some of the coolest coastline in the world and if you hang a right you're going into high desert sierras and Yosemite. If you could make California better culturally it's killer and must have been awesome to be there back in the glory days. I will say though that Washington has no shit to stand on for claiming better culture than California as a whole.

When you factor together rock and cuntry, it's remarkable how much California kicks the shit out of every other state in the US for music history.
Only England wins overall.
