I never said Shaw was a candidate. Just that his name was being tossed around early.
But to answer your snide question it was before. I outlined as much in the weeks leading up to Deboer leaving.Also, I live in Bellevue, WA.

to be fair, all Softy said was Dannen turned off a lot of boosters by saying he has no time for DEI. Not, DEI was making the job more difficult.

Half of the problem with all the DEI nonsense is the time suck of it all. Resources that could go to something with an ROI are lost.
