4.68 is just not good at all.
-
You have to wonder how much damage he did to his body last season. Truly one of the guys who left it all on the field.
-
4.49 for jmac… yikes.
-
He can salvage it with good agility testing. He’s destined for the slot and can probably survive without being a burner.
-
Not amazing. Nobody ever really gets knocked for being under 4.5 though.
-
you would have to think these guys one they are going to test before they ever declare. If not they should. Barring a miracle at this point he probably cost himself a bunch of money by declaring.

Based on what we know right now about UW’s offense, DJ’s age and situation, his penchant for leg injuries and the dime-a-dozen nature of running backs in the NFL, I’d say he made the right decision. I can’t see a scenario at this point where he improves his lot by spending another year in school.

Based on his testing he’s going to be lucky to land a practice squad position. What’s that pay, like $150k a year with a high likelihood of being completely washed out within a few years? It seems like he could have gotten a pretty favorable NIL deal next year and still been in the same spot in terms of his draft status/future.

Not splitting time with the guy from Arizona and Davis, et al. No guarantees with new coaching staff. He was Grubb’s guy.
And he was never gonna be an impressive tester.

Jerome Bettis ran a 4.7 40 yard dash. LIPO with Johnson. He has skill sets which are highly in need - he can pass protect like a 6th lineman, and he can catch out of the backfield. His skills in the passing game will be more valuable than his ability to break off an 80 yard TD run.
